View from Jerry's induction

It is backwards and twisted. Pulling some quote from the guy's freaking HOF speech and trying to be cute about is ******* ridiculous.

Really? I would hope someone's Hall of Fame speech was meaningful, sincere and devoid of any silly commentary.

That comment was utter crap. And unworthy of a man who supposedly was going into the Hall for something other than his marketing acumen.

To admit that was an issue, too bad.

He seemed very eager to talk about the current squad and to keep marketing.

But if so, that is fine.

He deserved it as a business man who served his own interests while at the same time allowed other owners to enjoy more wealth.

But that was not speak to that. He wanted to throw a charm to Romo, who he did zero favors for.

It was a silly remark that honestly makes him look worse, not better.

only problem I had with the speech was no mention of Staubach.

It wasn't a silly remark, it's an honest remark that makes him look like a freaking honest human being. My goodness. You are the worst type of fan that looks for the worst in everything when it comes to the Cowboys. Fans that are always ready to pounce on something with negativity. Like I said you are a 'hey look what I found in this pile of things, something really bad here goes'.

He wasn't the owner when Staubach played. He didn't mention any 60s/70s Cowboys I don't believe. Why should he?

Because he was sitting right behind him? He mentioned Landry, Tex, Gil, etc. and gave them credit for building the Cowboys. He should have done the same with Staubach (especially with him in audience).

Romo's reaction seemed to show appreciation to me so Jerry's thrown charm seems to have hit the mark.

I don't expect him to mention Staubach. He mentioned those other guys because were scouts/executives/coaches. They are alike with Jerry. Roger isn't.

So, was Jerry's HOF speech the longest ever? Too lazy to research it

Well we have the team on offense, the question is do we have enough defense and coaching to win it all this year ???
That's the big thing. We wasted Romo and Witten's careers here in Dallas. Can't have that happen with the next batch of Cowboys.
