You are very nice and knowledgable about your team. I appreciate your insight. It will be a good game no doubt. It will probably come down to getting pressure on favre and whether you guys can stop witten.
A huge key to the game that smart Viking observers cannot give them the advantage.

We had this problem several years ago when Bradie James, Akin Ayodele, Roy Williams and Keith Davis were being ripped apart in the passing game.

Bradie is still there. lol. watch the screen to his side. chester only needs 5-10 yards to get full steam. we need to get that stopped early on and get ahead so we make them one dimensional.

This game comes down completely to which QB plays the best and minimizes their mistakes. I really love our chances in this match up and I know it's going to be a tough, exciting, fun game.

Romo having fun with the official is a good thing.

For awhile it seemed he had lost the fun loving attitude that helped him achieve the success he had in 2007.

I'm ecstatic to see him yucking it up out there again.

Good stuff Go Vikes. Thanks for the insights.

pretty good analysis. Although I think Dallas may have more success running then you would expect. Mostly because that MLB won't be quick enough to diagnose the plays and the 'Boys will definitely work to keep him off balance. I think in the end it will come down to the pass rushes...which ever team gets more consistent pressure will probably win. So I'll pick the Cowboys by a TD.

My biggest worry is when we played AZ we lost the heart and soul of our Defense MLB EJ Henderson. It is particuliarly worrisome because we play Tampa 2 and the MLB is often responsible for covering the TE in man coverage and then the deep middle in most zones. The guy replacing him is Jasper Brinkley a solid run stuffer but not the strongest covering the pass. The Vikes take him out for obvious pass situations and replace him with Ben Leber which is all fine and dandy except when teams pass on running downs. resulting in big days for the TE's

I see Witten having a huge day regardless of the outcome of the game
This.
Henderson was the man for your D. I saw that injury and was thinking this could mean tough sledding for the Vikes down the orad. Bad luck for sure.

I see a great game.

The offensive weapons of Rice, Harvin, Berrian, and Shiancoe

Favre @ QB playing working to end his career on a SB victory

The dynamic running duo of Peterson and Taylor toting the rock and in the screen game.

Our D line is incredibly strong at all 4 positions Greenway and Leber are strong LB's who can run stuff and pass cover. Brinkley can stuff the run but not cover pass

I think you guys wont have much success running the ball against our D, but will score a ton passing

We will both score points and it will be a close game, but I will always pick my team in the clutch

Also I think the Cowboys will get off to a slow start because of how much success they have had recently. Its a thin line between confident and over confident. The Cowboys seem to be flirting with that. Romo's synchronized first dow with the ref... players dancing around on the sideline acting like they won the superbowl not the wildcard

Those are some of the reasons I think the Vikes will win....but that is coming from my Vikings Bias
Yes the Vikings are invincible with all those weapons. We have no chance. We shouldn't even show up for the game. How are we going to stop all of that. We couldn't stop the Eagles and all of their weapons. Wait we did. We couldn't stop the Saints and all of their weapons. Wait we did. Look I understand this is going to be a tough challenge for us but we have had lots of challenges like this all year. The Vikings haven't face a team look the Cowboys yet. So we'll see.

Never said any of that. My first post I was stating a lot of the Vikings weakeness and matchup problems for this game, but I still picked them to win. So a poster asked me how I could pick the Vikings to win. That post is the reasons why I picked the Vikings.

This game is going to be extremly tight and to be honest I think the Cowboys should be the favorites.

I think both the Dallas and Minnesota offense will move the ball but I think Dallas is playing better defense at the moment which is why I give them a very slight edge. Dallas,of course, can completely kill that edge if they commit too many penalties like they did last week against Philadelphia. Potential touchdown drives turned into punts and field goals because of penalties last week and we can't afford that against a team as talented as Minnesota.

Many people are gonna place this game on the shoulders of Brett Favre but I think the Minnesota offense will go as Adrian Peterson goes. If Dallas is able to shut down the run and make Minnesota one dimensional like they did with Philadelphia then it will be extremely difficult to get consisitant offense going with Ware, Spencer and Ratliff being able to focus solely on rushing Favre. Minnesota has to play balanced offense with a heavy dose of Adrian Peterson and play action to counter that vicious Dallas pass rush.

I think this will be a close game that will probably be decided by less than a touchdown. The winner is going to be the team that doesn't make mistakes. Obviously turnovers are one such mistake but I'm talking about the little things to. Penalties, dropped passes, etc. Mental Mistakes. Whoever wins this game will do so because they were mentally focused.
