Vikings fire mascot

Reportedly he was getting $1,500 per home game and wanted around $20,000 per home game...his deal was signed in 1994

Probably sounded great 20 years ago. Still sounds fun, but, for example, if that guy had a decent career and has a family 100 miles away, 1500 per game (or most of a day) may no longer be worth it to him.

Seemed like a fun gig! I wonder if he also had other obligations to go with it.

Plus...how did this get to 1.6 mil...sounds like 160k

thats only 160,000 did he want a 10 year contract?

Honestly not sure how long he wanted only the salary rate.I wish i knew what the Vikings had offered though. The $1.6 million probably came from it being a 10 year contract

He screwed the pooch by being too greedy. He should have asked for cost of living and apparell raises, I mean Viking decor has to be a hard find.

From all reports he had/has a very successful family run business. Now I know $1,500 was the old price but to be honest $20,000 was way too much. He watched the game from home in his recliner. I would have taken $2,000-$3,000 per home game and called it a BLESSING.

No.

Which mascot set the market?

That's the question that needs to answered.

Who's his agent?

I wonder where they're going to find another biker with a long beard willing to ride his bike on the field at home games for less than a $1.6MM dollars.

He can always trim it up a little, get a prospector hat and head to SanFrancisco.

He tried pulling a Demarco Murray for money.
