Vikings are in a good position on this 3rd and goal. Conservative run call + field goal = touchdown lead.

It helps the Cowboys. If we assume that we don't win the NFC East, we don't want to compete with a team like the Vikings for a wildcard, should the Pack suddenly grab a hold of the NFC North.

We go head to head with the Packers and can have the tiebreaker for a wildcard with a win against them. We don't play the Vikes, so no such luxury there.

Of course, I am hoping we win the East, but just looking out at other possible playoff scenarios, even though it is still early.

Rodgers is a good qb imo, for me packers/bears/falcons are the biggest threats should we need the wildcard. We have h2h on falcons but gb will be tough at lambeau

Well, I agree with that, and I suddenly feel better about this team than even the 13-3 team from 2007, and last year's squad. They seem much more cohesive on defense, special teams is the best it has been in many years, and offense is clicking minus a highly paid WR that can't get the ball.

We have proven that we can run the ball, and stop the run. That will bode well in December and January.

There was some weirdness around the 2007 team. Something I couldn't put a finger on. This team seems to be focused and determined.
