And all Jerry gets for the 18th pick is the 31 pick (quasi 2nd rounder) and a third rounder?

Vikings got almost exactly what the value chart said they should get.juck;5063279 said:The Vikings traded a 2nd, a 3rd, a 4th and a 7th round pick to get the Pats 29th (!!) pick.

Something tells me you already knew the answer to this question and just wanted to make a thread about it.juck;5063279 said:The Vikings traded a 2nd, a 3rd, a 4th and a 7th round pick to get the Pats 29th (!!) pick.

I mean almost the exact number : Pats paid 640 and Vikes paid 649
The Cowboys got 80 points less than tey should have by the chart in their trade --which should have been at least another 4th rounder thrown in. But this year, the top half of the draft was our of whack value-wise because everyone was wantig to trade down and their were no mad rushes for QBs.
That's just how it went. I heard sveral teams wanted SF's 31st pick, so there was competion in a bad way.
The team that gave up by the most value was Oakland. That trade was a giant mismatch. The should have gotten at least another 2nd rounder.
But that was the market...take it or leave it.
