Anybody know much about James Anderson? He played with Chicago last year on a 1 year deal and led the team in tackles with 129.5, along with recording 42 assisted tackles and 7.5 tackles for loss.

Bears were not happy with him, missed too many tackles.

The only time you pay for the vet is if you think you can contend. If not, he is a progress stopper. Let the rooks develop. With him on the field, they are doing the equivalent of what you and I do every Sunday: spectating. You can only learn so much from that.

At the end of the day, you still lost someone from your 53 man roster. I'd rather a vet with some wisdom sharing minor minutes with the rookies starting/learning than just any bum on the practice squad.

Holloman played pretty darn good in the last game of the season against a very good offense.

I suppose there is something to that. But I still say pass. I really want to see what these young guys can do without a safety net.

This makes missing out on Ryan Shazer even worse. I would rather throw the rookies out there to the wolves before signing an old vet. If we are gonna suck.,lets suck with the youngsters on the field.

Very true and the fhe flip side of that is you don't want to wreck your salary cap.
