Voch breaks down Dak's performance vs Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions defense gave up the following points this season heading into the Dallas game:

35 vs. Philly (Lost 38-35)
27 vs. Washington (Won 36-27)
28 vs. Minnesota (Lost 28-24)
48 vs. Seattle (Lost 48-45)
29 vs. NE (Lost 29-0)

The Lions defense is the reason the Lions are 1-5 as their offense had most of those games closer than they were so when you reference the Lions defense and games being close I have no idea what the hell you are talking about.
The fact is Detroit losing 24-6 to Dallas (although trailing 10-6 late in 4th) is more an indictment on the Dallas offense not performing (lowest points against Lions defense this season) and the Lions offense turning the ball over 5 times.
I saw a improved lions team, the defense look to play a lot harder than before. Dak had rust. He missed the first wide open pass that was 6.

LOL..

Man trying to say “it would have been a tight window throw” if the safety wasn’t there.l at 5 minutes…

How does Voch even know Dak is seeing the “bottom safety” with his hips out at 5:16? This guy operates under a lot of assumptions, which is comical because he’s ignoring the one main thing that can provide some detail into what Dak is allegedly seeing, which is by LOOKING DIRECTLY AT DAK.

I mean Voch, you even circle the safety and point out how his hips are turned at 5:55-6:00, but why not circle where DAK’S HIPS and HELMET ARE TURNED? I can guarantee you one thing, they are not facing anywhere in the location of where that safety is

Please Voch inform me how Dak is seeing the bottom safety turning his hip out, when Dak begins his read to the “top WR” and then goes immediately over the middle to CeeDee?

Dak didn’t even look like he dissect it was cover 2, or he did but he had a brain fart, because he looks to the top WR and then throws immediately over the top, ignoring the bottom safety.

This is just a typical example of Dak not being able to READ DEFENSES.

I keep telling you Dak can throw on his early reads, but he’s a mental midget and can’t process a defense to save his life. So yeah Voch that may have been a “tight window” if there was only one defender, but guess what? There wasn’t because Dak is just a mental midget at the QB position.

If we're Cowboys fans.... then we have 53 heroes. So which one of them are you saying will never win the big one??

How often does AC, or any of the Dak fans for the matter, point out team accomplishments? Never? Its always "Dak did this" or has this stat. I would rather hear about how good the defense is playing over an average QB who didn't do any better than Rush against the worst defense in the NFL

Dak did okay for coming back from injury. Wish it was a bit stronger but we won and Dak helped in that.

I wish you Dak Fighters would give it a rest. Just a bunch of bickering ______.

"Well I'll show THEM"
"No you wont, I'll SHOW THEM!"
"I know you are but what am I?"

Bunch of children sheesh.

Totally not what the tape shows. Voch is right. You're making stuff up to justify your criticism.

  • Dak can't throw into tight windows
  • Dak can't read defenses
  • Dak carelessly throws into triple coverage
  • Dak has a weak arm
  • Dak gets scared when pressured
  • Dak can't read through his progressions
  • Dak is not a good/smart passer
  • Dak is a bus driver
  • Dak can't finish
  • Etc, etc, etc...
We've heard it all...all kinds of criticisms against Dak, especially recently. Well, Mr. Voch Lombardi is here to analyze Dak's tape against the Detroit Lions and prove Dak's critics wrong. The film doesn't lie.

Enjoy...;)

What was the score at halftime? And don't forget to post Kurt Warners take on Daks play against the 49ers. That's right one game doesn't tell the story. Quit acting like Dak is some savior. Rush could of won that game.

And just to point out. Detroit plays the most man coverage of any team in the league. On the Noah Brown fumble, just another basic throw that any QB can make.

Again, simple post pattern on the first read that Dak is going to the whole time.

Not sure how this is impressive, as it’s basically Moore getting exactly what he wanted.

How do you know that they appeared “to play harder” wasn’t because the mediocre QB was making it look that way?
You know darn well the Lions played much harder than their record dictates, but as usual, you twist the facts intentionally or act ignorant in order to ridicule Dak's performance. Voch has a podcast. Why don't you call in, state who you are on CowboysZone and debate Voch so he can school you.

Thanks for breaking it all down so I don't have to watch the video, AC.

Appreciate it.

Score was 6-3 but should have been 10-6 Cowboys had Noah Brown not fumbled inside the 10 as the Cowboys would have had a 1st & goal inside the 10 right before the half.

The ONLY throw I’ll give Dak is 9 minutes in, though it pretty much looked to me like luck, as Dak clearly doesn’t even look at the MLB and throws based off the blitz by the Will LB on the play action to that side.

Man was going there from the beginning, though the LB had tight coverage.

He missed the opening throw to Brown, even Romo said that was 6. He said it more than once. The guy had only played 3 quarters of this year and had surgery on a broken thumb. I am holding my opinion to see if he shows improvement in this game. Looks like the bears can run the ball. After the bye week he better use the formula. The play calling seemed different in the second half of the lions game. I think MM may have said something to Moore.

Yep Dak sucks. Put Rush back in. Or Grier, let’s let him play 4 games and evaluate him. Now that Dak is playing our season is over anyways.

How does that response tell us the Lions played harder than the other games?

I mean we probably should have played Rush against these Lions.

Moore went hurry up to start the third, that’s why it ‘looked different’.

Dak Haters sound like Romo and Nance....20th Century drivel:lmao2:

I was glad to see Dak back but once again this offense stalled out too often, we continue to not convert 3rd downs and is something this offense has to improve on. I get that there was some rust but I expect better from Dak and this offense in general. I felt they played better in the 2nd half but if this team expect to be there in the end Dallas needs this offense producing much better than they have.

This video is a CLASSIC EXAMPLE that demonstrates on pretty much EVERY THROW Dak is staring down the WR he is going too (you know where he is going from the snap) and outside of 1 example of cover 2, which he throws into double coverage, it’s basically single safety high. The drag route to CeeDee was man coverage.

That being said Voch again demonstrates he’s shouting things out the hip when he says at 11:59 that Dak takes advantage of TOs, which Rush doesn’t do. Well putting up 1 TD in garbage time against the worst defense is the league off of FIVE TOs is hardly taking advantage and Rush is 3-1 when the defense doesn’t give him a TO, while Dak is 0-3 going back to last year. The Cowboys defense didn’t give Rush a single TO against them Eagles, so I’m not even sure what Voch is talking about other than it’s clear this is just a Dak slob-fest over nothing but average QB play.

If anything, Rush had proved that he can win without the defense giving him multiple scoring opportunities, while Dak has shown nothing going back to last year and he’s completely awful in general when they lost the TO margin.

So a podcast is what dictates whether a person is right or wrong?

I didn’t even say Detroit didn’t play “much harder”, what I stated was how do you them playing harder wasn’t because of our mediocre QB? Maybe they played inspired football because they knew they were going against Mr. Stare Down?

Why don’t I call Kurt Warner and debate him about why Dak sucked against the 49ers for example? Oh yeah, that’s because we basically agree that Dak sucked..
