Von looked great against an awful OL...I think Sam will be a force on D after a slow start, and just having Micah out there will make the rest of our D even better. Oh if only I had this confidence about our offense.
No chance Williams will give us what milller can at this stage.

Well, other than JJ Watt and Aaron Donald. Von Miller has been the most dominant pass rusher and defensive player the NFL has seen this past decade.

Didn't look like he's dropping off as of last night.

Not dumb at all. I am sure Vonn was already set for life. Texas has no state income tax so there is approximately 11% difference right there . If Miller wanted to be here he would have signed, but he wanted to win.. You go to the Cowboys to get paid not win championships. Some of you need to come to grips with that inconvenient fact.

I think you nailed it, if it was most years.

He went to Buffalo to win. But he would have also had a chance this year on this team.

not saying that, but I think he will be a force this season at some point. Miller also isn't close to what he was but would have fit in here nicely indeed

I don't doubt that but another 1st round WR is the last thing we need imo.
Especially a reciver like that. Imma USC fan so I watched him a lot, didn't see what the hype was about. I wouldve took Pickens from Georgia. According to people with insight, they said He was high in the Cowboys board. I'm glad we didn't do that.

Silly stance.

Cowboys should always draft BPA.

Especially if the temp solution is over 30.
Temp solution for 50 million guaranteed though. So you are pretty much tied to him for a few years

“you go to the cowboys to get paid”

he is getting paid more lol. regardless i was arguing against him being a ring chaser. the highest bidder also being favorites is just extra incentive

YES!!!

Cowboys are trying to take another step in postseason, Von Miller can provide that.

Von is worth more than Randy for a dang good reason.

Let's not covet something that was not meant to happen for us. Von Miller's price range wasn't within what this FO was willing to venture into. As it was, we did well to welcome Jason Peters as our left tackle, never mind a player at the expense level of Miller. We knew the Cowboys FO was highly committed to saving their cap for 2023's contractual expenses.

They were willing to offer Gregory 14m and somehow not offer Miller 18m or even offer him more than Gregory (which is a laughable notion). Perhaps if they went to 16m they could have closed the deal because per interviews he clearly would have taken a little less but not 4m a year less.

Do we really know what Jason Peters' total commitment amounted to? I haven't seen anything concrete as to what it was. Good luck trying to convince the FO that they screwed the pooch by not signing someone they weren't willing to sign. Subjecting ourselves to coveting something not within our power to change is a waste of time, if only to welcome needless frustration.

If they had signed Miller, they surely would never have considered signing Jason Peters. How would we have felt about that? Likely, not good at all. As it is, we did as well as could be expected, under the circumstances. Let's try to enjoy the season ahead, instead of ruing what didn't happen.

We have pass rush specialist in Basham and Fowler. So who has more sacks on the year? These two as a tandem or Miller?
