Von Miller: My Smile is Back

Among the top 20 all-time sack leaders 10 played at 37 and Miller will be the 11th. Some pretty productive seasons at that old age in football years and I believe Miller can be productive too. He was a solid stop gap signing as you develop Ezeiruaku and Lawrence.

Bruce Smith: 10
Reggie White: 16
Kevin Greene: 12
Julius Peppers: 11
Chris Doleman: 15
Jason Taylor: 7
Terrell Suggs: 6.5
Richard Dent: 4.5
Rickey Jackson: 9.5
Carl Eller: 3

JUST... Red-it-all not just what you skimmed.. I said the same thing Don't talking about money we don't hear that from that saggy little brother needs to shut the mouth because even if he was eating a little sarcastic see she's just joking around A little bit but I want to hear that you don't make enough money to get 10 sacks'cause if you you're making too much money it sounds like you're gonna be lazy and tired and giving less effort so yeah that's we don't need HIM TO BE just a Locker room guy front office guy..

Do get that when we hear that can't always give 100 percent heard about how tired Tank was those things are red flags we don't want that we don't want to hear that if you were joking we need a guy going to go out and give maximum effort for how many snaps he's asked to even if it's limited we want efficiency we want some sacks..

Oh it's odd right the irony I don't remember J.clowney telling us didn't make enough money to put up 8-10 backs because that's what he does. He isn't that what you I can't remember did he have 8 is the limit though for $6 million at if it is and we don't understand we won't like it we do not appreciate it as fans if 8 million is not enough to put up a measly 8-10.. Then you can retire now Like I said you're sAggie-Land and we don't want that anyway.
This is unhinged even for you

He looks remarkably like Ramasses I mummy extricated from Thebes, I believe.

don’t have a problem with anything he’s said. I think the issue with some is his comments the other day about being here to mentor and teach, and if he gets 8-10 sacks, then he’s overpaid. I can understand the consternation about that comment
Exactly! Though his comment was something like, "If he gets 8-10 sacks he will be WAY underpaid" ..

It's not like many fans hated the signing or that we expect him to be the 30 year old version of himself.

He signed a contract though, took a valuable roster spot away from a younger player or younger aging veteran and fans would like to know he still has the hunger and drive to be successful on the field.

I honestly do not care what he does for the other players. The coaches are there for that. If he helps them, great. If not, that's fine too.

As a fan I expect coaches to coach and players to play. Clowney showed how much he wanted to play (not coach, but play) last year.

Von Miller has looked and acted like a retired player who is hanging around the field.

I just hope its a switch that he can flip when the games start.

by design the team has been irrelevant for 30 years, this is hardly worth complaining about. OOOOO we brought in a player who wants to play, "guys i am totally irked"

what do you think? in 1 year we re going to the SB? nooo, you ve had the patience to continue to follow the team for 30 years, they brought in some players, like every year, heck most have signed knowing they will suck. this is not the worst signing nor a signing thats going to put us in the "fear our D" camp. its like you re bummed we signed a rock.

Miller says his smile is back, waiting for his debut on Sunday night.

"I don't have a plan [yet], but this is my 16th year in the National Football League," said the seven-time All-Pro and former Super Bowl MVP. "I like to think that I'm a coach's dream.
I just try to make everybody's job easy — coaches and the players around me. Whatever I can do to help contribute to wins is why I'm here.
"Whether that's in the locker room or out there on the football field, I'm still a sack daddy, so I'll have my opportunity to go out there and rush the quarterback and contribute to wins."

Sack Daddy - is that Jerry's War Daddy?
What a blowhard. I think he is setting us up for dissapointment on the field but his excuse will be that he is great in the locker room or helping the coaches. I don't see this as positive at all.

Apparently you missed all the good things that happened this off season. Or refuse to see or admit it.

if he can get consistent pressure when he's on the field, that's good. Anything more is bonus.

I'm not seeing it either myself. So far it's been all talk. We'll see if there is any action left. Not a fan of this "I'M THE GREATEST TEAMMATE OF ALL TIME" and "I'm only getting paid to be a team leader" talk. If this team needed an old man running his mouth about his legacy, why pay him? Irvin will do the same for you and he'll do it for free.
