I was making fun of an Eagles fan the other day...and he looked right at me and said:

People today, in 2022, have the same feelings about those old Cowboys teams from 30 years ago in 1992....like nostalgic, but not relevant...just like you felt back then when watching Vince Lombardi strolling the sidelines, and everyone in the stands was wearing suits and ties and hats.

He said you Cowboys fans bragging about ur team's successes now, sound as goofey as a Jets fan parading around in a Joe Namath jersey bragging about their glory years....and that until Jerry Jones AND his son die, we'll be irrelevant.

30 years..... and nothing. It's frustrating. I mean, the freaking Wizard Of Oz came on last night...and I realized that ACTORS FROM THAT MOVIE WERE STILL ALIVE THE LAST TIME WE HAD A SEASON TO BE PROUD OF. Sorry to vent....but I'm just wondering if any of us will see anything worthwhile from this team again in our lifetimes....or are just like the Raiders or Washington, living in the past

So....you're OK with how this franchise has done in last 30 years? The real question is...why aren't you as angry about these 3 decades of absolute nothing as I am?

Well I'm no eagles expert... yep, looks like their last of 3 championships over a 10/12 year period was in 1960. That makes you feel better, that eagles win 3 championships culminating in 1960, vs ALL in 1960s? That actually it was the Packers winning half the championships in the 60's?

I literally just deferred to ur Eagles expertise, saying I was incorrect about when the eagles won their 3 championships in a short period of time. You didn't see that? I also have a general sense of when Giants have won a bunch of championships...but won't bother looking up exact dates, because I'll assume nobody really cares if I'm off 5 years or so.

So I'll be very careful posting Eaglea history going forward, since you seem to really be fixated on them. BUT, it was still 3 championships, and ALSO, apparently FIVE championships for the Packers as well (I won't look that up to verify, because I'm just not that nit picky). Just not sure why also pointing out the freaking packers won 5 championships, to support the fact that eagles three championships occurred 5 years or so earlier than I thought, somehow makes u feel better. But glad it does!

The Packers were the team of the decade in the 60s. You posted that the Eagles were.
