As an OL, you can grab the jersey as long as your arms aren't extended and you are using it to stop the defender who has clearly established an advantage.

In general, I think Refs are calling less Offensive holds than a few years ago.

The only really bad miss I saw was on Jacob's run Spears was clearly held.

Most of the things you guys complain about on DWare are approaching borderline but they aren't going to get called these days. There would be a hold on every play if they were.

I don't believe that's what the ref said when he announced the penalty. I believe he declared it a late hit, out of bounds. Even if it was helmet to helmet, they generally only call that on hits to the QBs. It's not like the defender led with the helmet. Like I said - ultimately, it didn't matter. But I'd hate to have such a close call go against us.

If he would have just put his hands on him and made sure he went out of bounds there wouldn't have been a penalty. There was no need for the hit. Worst of the bad was that there was NO pass rush....forget sacks, we didn't put much pressure on Manning.

its hard to get sacks when the giants were holding....refs probably wanted some old school football....but still there were alot of non calls on both sides

Normally, when a team realizes that they are playing a better team in an important game where the stakes were as high as they were in this game then they commit what I like to call CHEAP SHOTS. That is exactly what NYG were doing all game. The few that did get called was only a small percentage of the amount of CHEAP SHOTS that they actually took on the 'Boys all game long!

Nah...I don't see it that way at all.

It's been a problem all year.

I doubt every Giant lineman held on every play.

I think we're highly guilty of overrating Spears and Canty.

If there was anything that bothered me about this GREAT win, it was the lack of pass rush. Again.

I disagree. That was a helmet hit when Glenn was out of bounds. Glenn couldn't have stayed in bounds if he wanted too. I wouldn't have a problem with him pushing him to "make sure" he went out even though it really wasn't possible, but to lay wood was the very reason the penalty is called "Unnecessary Roughness". It wasn't necessary. The reason for the rule is to protect players. It was called and It should have been called period.

Maybe you should watch the replay. Glenn's head got jarred backwards from the helmet to helmet collision. I have it on DVR, but don't have a way to pull that clip off of it. Can anyone else pull the clip of the collision?

What did the ref say? Did he say - Personal Foul. Helmet to helmet contact? Or Late hit - out of bounds.? Because I don't remember.

Honestly, it doesn't even matter. It was a two yard penalty that we got a first down on anyway. So whatever.
