Could it be? this team, well the O seems to have given up, the D is just flat out horrible. I think they quit on JG, Ok JERRY make your move, fire red please!

That was a quit if I have ever seen one.

The offense was running clock trying not to make history. Running clock while your losing. I dont see how anyone on the offense can respect the two losers in charge.

I don't think we gave up at all. I think we just got our butts kicked. Take a look at that defensive roster we just trotted into a home game at NOLA, for crying out loud. What happened to the defense tonight was entirely predictable.
The passing game tonight, though, did not look very formidable. We knew going in it had to be productive, and it wasn't nearly productive enough. And we got a butt-kicking as a result.

can you pout in out Garretts 13 -3 season? than you can call it wade 2.0, until Garrett has an 11 win season, lets just call it Garrett 1.0 and stop allow other people to give us our opinions.

No. Wade was/is a great coordinator.

Garrett is exceedingly average and only the head coach because Jerry had some wet dream that Garrett would make the perfect story. Princeton grad, Super Bowl winner back up qb and coach who rose in the ranks with his old franchise.

Get rid of the loser and find a winner.

Go look at some of the would be sacks and than the "how many guys did it take to take down one running bacj"? yeah, the team quit. call it what you want but they quit.

I call it not being good enough.

I've said it for 2 years - Garrett is just Wade with a different coat of paint. It's the same team just a different personality in the press conferences.

How can you even think that, one is a good coordinator, the other is Garrett, come on people, start thinking and not reacting. ESPN and the pundits cant always give you an opinion.

Meh, a very mediocre Jets team with a gimpy rookie QB beat the Saints last week. Granted they were at home, but injuries or no we didn't even show up.

That Jets defense is playing pretty good football. And, yes, there's a huge difference playing them in the Superdome.

its called quit, just to make to an NFL roster means you are good enough. But its called quit.

You just told me to call it what I want. Now you're telling me what you think I have to call it. Make up your mind.

Sub Williams for Miles and Jason had the opening day offense at his disposal - no excuses, just abject failure.

Of all of the crap yes-men unqualified head coaches that Jerry has hired, only Chan got a 2nd chance at HC - and that was at Buffalo (.333 record).... a team with a head office as pathetic as ours. At least the stay puff man turned out to be a decent coordinator elsewhere. Jason won't get anything beyond a QB coaching job. That's pretty damning.

Difference? Yes. Enough to be be completely blown out and embarrassed in prime time? Not that much.

The defense we took to the Superdome tonight was about as bad as it gets, but we knew that would be the case going in. The fact we couldn't effectively gameplan this offense to help protect the defense and keep us somewhat competitive gives ammo to those believing this coaching staff is a joke.

Lots of bad defenses in the league, some belonging to pretty good clubs. I would hope those units could figure out a way to run more than 43 plays, hold the ball more than 20 minutes, and protect their overmatched defense.

As bad as the defense was, I can at least understand the reasons. The other side of the ball, what is going on there, borders on criminal with regard to how it's managed and executed.

Wade had few winning seasons and a playoff win. JG is busy stacking 8-8 seasons with no playoffs.

I wish Wade had an offensive coordinator other than Garrett during his tenure. Garrett was the problem then as he is now.
