Merriman, what, twisted an ankle and missed some of the second half. Also, Phillips/Castillo (?) went down with a hammy and didn't return, so there was a lot of pressure on the DBs when Brady was throwing it.

Still, if McCree had just gotten down, or if SD had remembered they had LT on the roster, they probably would have won. Great. Game.

Actually Merriman's muscles were breaking down finally from all the steroid use.

I am totally going to incur the wrath of the Parcells haters and those that dislike his drafting but i think Dallas' defensive talent is overall much stronger than San Diego's personnel wise and that Phillips is going to have a giddy field day with the Cowboy starting front seven and rotational players.

maybe not the muscles, but the tendons actually do undergo enormous stress because of the unnatural muscle growth. Merriman has had tendon problems recently, and will probably continue to be a nicked up player.

I also thought muscle broke down since its expanding at a rapid growth during the steroid cycles and the working out.

Whatever though, steroids are illegal for a reason, they aren't healthy.

Yeah i was thought about that, If you look at the def numbers from last year they're wasnt much better than ours on paper other than the 60+ sacks.And why couldnt Sd catch on to the short passing game after all the attempts by brady.Hopefully it was Sd's players and not coaching staff.

I remember there being some personal fouls that allowed the Pats to win the game BUT.. I am curious...

1. What were that teams weaknesses on defense in that game?
2. How did Wade do? Could have done something better?
3. Was it just the bonehead personal fouls that lost them the game?

I ask these questions because... well... he is here... not only as a voice on the defense but the Head Coach.

Not letting LT and the backup rb run the ball the last 5 minutes of the game is why they lost..
