The man won the NFC East, his 2nd in 3 years. He won a playoff game as Cowboys Head Coach. Something not even a Hall of Famer like Parcells had done.
Hos, as much as I respect you as a gifted and intelligent writer, I can't help but think that you're saying this in order to convince yourself. It's like I mentioned before to another poster, you're putting lipstick on a pig and trying to sell us on the idea that it's the prettiest girl in the room. Well that would be fine if it's the
only living thing in the room, but it's not. Parcells built that team during Wade's first year as the head coach (and do not confuse this as me riding the Tuna's jock - he quit on us and I hate him for it). Regardless, even though Wade had the best team in the NFC, they fell flat on their face against the midgets in the division round playoffs. Okay...it happens - we pick up and move on.
But most of us believed (including myself) that Wade's success in the regular season was only going to get better once he had a firmer handle on this team. And that the playoff loss to our division foe was simply a fluke. Then season two began with Jerry agreeing to put us back in the spotlight on that gawdforsaken show, "Hard Knocks". So now we're getting a more magnified view of Wade's coaching abilities. And, man, it made me sick! Watching him handhold the rookies that they were cutting in training camp, lacking an overall presence that one should expect from a head coach and those goshdarn excuses he kept trying to feed us (the fans) with assinine statements like, "Technically it's like winning a playoff game when your team has a 1st round bye". To top it all off, we don't make the playoffs in his second year even though we controlled our own destiny with the final regular season game against Philly.
I mean...C'mon!!!:bang2:
:bang2:
In my eyes this was the absolute worst thing that could happen to this team. And the more I type right now, the sicker it makes me feel.
