If BP was the head coach of the Cowboys in 07', we at least get to the Super Bowl. 07' was our best opportunity to go all the way. There's no way we lose to the Giants at home with BP as head coach.

:lmao2:

yeah right

if BP was the coach, we'd have never been 13-3 either

good job getting talent, poor job as HC. His record here spoke for itself.

I will second that.

I don't think I've had any confidence in the entire coaching staff since BP left.

Bill Parcells did a great job getting us to the playoffs and winning...

oh wait.

And to build upon other stuff, I don't like Shanahan or Cowher or Gruden if they're making talent decisions. We all see how well those decisions worked out for them. The Steelers had to basically tell Cowher to shut up and sit in the corner when he was opposed to drafting Polamalu, and Shanahan basically destroyed the Broncos and the same goes for Gruden in Tampa Bay and Oakland, to an extent (Al Davis ftw).

please, the way he was coaching his final year here, we would have played conservative and would've been lucky to get the wild card. How quickly we forget his outdated schemes and approaches to games. Had we aired it out against Seattle in that play off game (who had NO secondary at all) we walk away with an easy win and the the "bobble" never happens. What a pathetic game plan that was...it was even funnier when the bears (THE BEARS of all teams) looked like the '99 rams the next week against the seahawks D.

Sign me up as hating the hire day one I wanted a Rex Ryan or someone young and upcoming coach :(

Like Josh McDaniel? He'll probably be available next year.

But to the original post, yeah, how do you lose confidence in a coach on Monday nite, two days after a pre-season game. lol

I fully support Wade, having said that like any other coach it is his job to get this team to live up to their potential if he lead this team into post season and do something once they are there then I would expect him to remain as the HC a while longer. Wade has been with us 2 seasons and like any HC I think they deserve at the least 3 years if at that point significant progress is being made then you retain his service. What is the use in hiring a coach if you are not going to allow him the time to do the job

Well, I would make him retrace his steps and look for it till he finds it.

no confidence in him as head coach. Next year in 2010 with a new coach, we finally make noise.

i agree about the post, wade is a great defensive coordinator, but as a head coach, just dont think he is a super head coach. I wish him all the luck, but just have my doubts too.

Its kinda like what parcells said, you are what you are; wade has coached in denver, atlanta short period, buffalo and now dallas, hasnt won a playoff game yet. That still could change. I am not trying to be negative here, I am still hoping wade turns things around. Its kinda like DC told me the other day, when wade pounded his fist and said we are going to get this done. Dc said dont buy into all the hoopla, wait and see what happens this year in late november and december.

thats when i had my dream about winning,
in my dream i asked the Lord when would we ever compete and win again, go to the super bowl. Lord showed me that we would go to the superbowl in the 2nd year of my asking. This is year 1, next year is year 2, whatever that means. Also, in my dream i wasnt shown in my dream if we would win the superbowl in year 2, but only that we would go to the super bowl in year 2.

Yeah, I know sounds silly or nutty, but that was my dream.
another one of my friends kinda had the same dream too. (His dream was we have an awful year this year)
Oh yeah, wasnt shown me either who the head coach was in year 2.
Now if you take what i dreamed in year 2, it still could be wade as head coach, because if we do go to the superbowl this year, in all essence, it will be 2010, so that could be year 2, that part of my dream wasnt explained to me

First I would have had to have confidence in him to start with which I never had, so nothing to lose.

Boy, I sure wish we would win a damn playoff game--not because I want the success as a fan, but because I'm sick and tired of all the whiney, *****y fans who are all "worried" about every single facet of this team.

Every year it gets worse. I'm going to have quit following the team. There is not a single player or coach in this entire franchise that some "fan" won't have a concern about that MUST BE AIRED... repeatedly.

What ever happened to being excited about the team you cheer for and being hopeful that success is coming?

Jeez.........

In my opinion, Parcells would have mentally beaten down the players before they even sniffed the playoffs.

Don't get me wrong. I really liked Parcells, but his old school ways were outdated and had run their course.

He was done... He knew it, We knew it, But I guess some didn't

I have been a long supporter of Wade. But, I have to admit this guy will never take this team deep in the playoffs. Wade is a great DC that is it. Buddy Ryan was a great DC, but a lousy HC. Eventually, reality sets in.

I am sure we will have a good season - but not a winning playoff/SB season.

Looking at you previous posts over the past several months i cant see how you can claim to be a Cowboys fan. Every post is negitive. I think yout a Giants fan in desquise.

The problem today is that 90% of the players cannot handle a tough SOB like BP. They whine and cry and give up. Just a fact of modern society.

Players are the only ones that matter in terms of confidence in Wade. Fans don't play the game they are not at the meetings and see what is going on.

We will find out soon enough the confidence the players have in Wade and if they are buying into what this staff is trying to get them to do.

Believe it or not Wade understands this game he has been at it for a long time and if he can get through to this group of players they have a chance to have success if not the Dallas will end up starting over again.
