First off, congrats on the hiring of Bum Phillips' son. The man has finally proved himself (again) to another smart GM/Owner.

Secondly off, it's important to have a HC with the kid gloves to nurture young QB's. Wade Phillips is a nurturer.

He first saw the talent and skill that is Rob Johnson back in Buffalo. Phillips built a strong defense anchored by guys like Bennett and Hansen. Good defenses help out the youngins in some areas. The unfortunate part is that it needs to be good ALL the time. Look at the Bears (Super Bowl, Sunday night). Grossman couldn't hack it and the defense hacked it up.

Is Romo another Rob Johnson? Well, there's only one Rob. Only time will tell...and hopefully with some guidance from a true talent-evaluator like Phillips, you'll find out.

Are you Rob Johnson?

Im down with the Phillips hire just because im excited to see our defense in attack mode for a change, but him pulling Flutie for Rob Johnson 1 week before the playoffs was one of the dumbest coaching moves in the history of coaching moves.

A head coach with kid gloves and TO is a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad combination.

TO is not a bad guy, he just wants the ball. You had a guy by the name of Michael W. Irvin that made a point of telling your quarterbacks that he wanted the ball. Keyshawn wanted the ball too.

IMHPO, TO will be fine. The main concern for you people is your defense. Get that straightened out and then you can compete with the Bears, Bucs, Eagles, Saints, etc.

Did you hear about the trade with Tampa ? TO for Barber ? Just wondering ?

TO is a moron, maybe that doesn't make him a bad guy, I don't know. I just wonder what Wade will do when TO is too hurt for training camp next year.

Link?

Barber's a versatile player, but I doubt the Cowboys would use him as a WR.

That's a good question. What did the Big Tuna do?

The Bucs have one of these "types" of players in Joey Galloway. He rarely plays through a full practice during training camp. It upsets me greatly but not when he's outrunning everyone in the NFL League on his way to the promised land.

Jimmy40, you should definitely get over this hate for TO. He's done nothing to you and he's helped your team win by scoring points.

When I go to a Buc's forum(is there one?) and tell you how to be a fan I'll listen to your advice. We are fixing to be in year two of TO and we now have a big puddin for a coach, as far as hating TO, I'm just trying to beat the Christmas rush, because it's coming. I just wonder how many cleat marks TO's going to leave on old Wade's head before one of them is gone.

What are you talking about?

Sorry Pittman.......Rob sucks. Using him as a reference scares the hell out of me. I DO NOT want a repeat of anything "Buffalo Bills". NOTHING!

The sad part is that some people don't see that.
