The Saints D did not get good untill the late 80's right? When they had all those great LB's and went 13-3 and STILL finished second to SF (when they were in that division). So he was before that.

They lost to the eventual champions (Steelers) on a bum call in the AFC championship.

Robert Brazil, Elvin Bethea, Gregg Bingham, Curley Culp, Vernon Perry, Mike Rienfeldt, all pretty good players as I recall.

I pretty much have the same recollection of the players you mentioned, ABQ.
They had a really tough defense during that period.

I dont see the chargers having the success they had last year either.

I can't get to Sunday fast enough.

They are a very physical front 7. I just see us spreading them out with multiple WR and 1 back looks. Then getting Jones into space. This defense was #31 against the pass for a reason, and we also have a RB. THose were the teams that beat them last year....

Its all about who grabs the early lead and can dictate tempo.

I like our chances a lot. And going into Minny I had thrown the hat in calling a rout. I was not wrong, and hopefully spot on this year as well.

There was no fire in my belly going into last season. I feel we have a chance to rumble into playoffs. Why not?

And Eagles are crumbling.
