Regardless of how he performed as a HC for Dallas, he is a without a doubt, a legit D coordinator. He runs a very good 3-4, which I'd prefer we not see 2x a year. Hopefully he doesn't end up in Washington.

HOWEVER, with that being said, it's going to take more than old Wade Phillips to turn the 'Skins around. They're one of the biggest dumpster fires in the NFL right now, if not thee biggest.

Because Wade would have us "figured" out offensively is what some here would say as you know.

Just like some here are saying similar things about Detroit having an advantage against Linehan due to him coaching there a few seasons. It doesn't mean anything if they can't stop

Dallas from what is doing offensively no matter how much Detroit, or Wade for that matter knows the tendencies of Garrett and Linehan's schemes.

I do think he is a legitimate defensive coordinator. That being said, I don't think he is as blitz happy as Haslett, and I think without defensive playmakers, his style of defense isn't going to be successful against this new Cowboys offense.

Who in their right mind would worry one lick about this? That entire organization is dysfunctional and Wade isn't changing that. I'm done worrying about anything the skins do until they actually start looking like a legit NFL team. We all worried about playing Griffin for the next 15 years and that organization ruined him in a year and a half.

Was he with a team this season?

No.

Exactly.

The Skins are a mess.

GM Bruce Allen comes off as totally clueless, they don't have a QB, and you have to wonder how long head coach Jay Gruden will last before owner Dan Snyder pulls the plug again.

I think this move makes them a better defense, but not a better defense against Dallas.

I think this slows things down for them, which will make them more consistent but less dangerous.

That said it's still a 3-4 which has been a bit difficult for us. All of our losses came against the 3-4.

Fortunately for us the road to the Super Bowl is paved with 4-3 teams.

I disagree that it's all on him. That place is a cesspool of dysfunction. They allowed him to play hurt in that playoff game and then hung him out to dry to take the heat about who made the decision. He hasn't been right mentally ever since and in my opinion it stems back to how that place is run. They refused to protect him and now he looks like a guy trying to get himself out of town as soon as possible.
