He's drafted better than Parcells though. I'm not a fan of him either, but sitting through draft days under him have been less pressure than having to sit through Parcells' drafts.
well that's great but it's time to start using all this talent the way it should be. Wade/Brian calls the defense like Reeves and nate jones are our starting corners or something. Pacman/Tnew/Henry don't need to play 10-15 freaking yards off of the wr.

Who says Wade is drafting anyone???? EVERYONE should know that Jerry is calling the shots in the War Room..

The only difference when Bill was there , is that Bill had more War Room clout with Jerry than Wade does.

Jerry respected Bill more for his evaluation and input than he probably does Wade... IMO

Have you seen the defensive line-up Wade drafted when he was at San Diego? Why would Dan Reeves call Wade one of the best evaluators of talent he has ever been around, if Wade isn't involved in drafting? You can't seriously tell me, Wade had no influence in drafting a player like Spencer.

I actually think it is one of his strong suits...

Im sure Wade had some influence and might have sold Jerry on a comparison to Shaun Phillips ( Spencer) but we all know Jerry is calling the shots...

I didn't know D coordinators drafted D-lineman.... especially with the personel **** AJ Smith running that show..

Wade might have had some input during individual workouts as far as potential, but thats probably were it ended. IMO

It's not like the coaching staffs, especially the coordinators and other position coaches, just sit on their fannies and do nothing during the offseason why the FO does all the work themselves.(if you've seen clips of the senior bowls et al, GMs and coaches are there along with their respective assistant coaches)

Really-it's the coordinators' teams too b/c they work with these personnel as well. So it's obvious they have their fair share of input as well.

BTW-Garrett lobbied to get Felix here. Otherwise, our #22 would have been someone else.

Ask San Diego if they would like to have Wade back.

Be careful what you wish for or it will be back to vanilla defense.

Wades style is great and if he leaves I hope his system doesn't leave with him.

Its a proven system and if its not working its on the players because the guys on this team should work well in this type of system.

I want Wade for as long as we can keep him because he is a great teacher and this defense still has problems getting off the field.

For anyone that was GROZ and you want to get rid of Wade than I just dont know what you want.

our D is pretty vanilla right now: zone coverage, no imagination w/ the blitz calls

I'm not calling for Wade's head, even though i would rather someone else be HC, but Wade really hasn't brought anything to this team

my view will change if we get at least an aggressive, attacking D like the one Wade called in San Diego

No way he let's him go if he wins the Super Bowl. Very difficult if he gets us to the NFC Championship, too.

If we don't win a playoff game then Jerry probably will because the fans' outcry will excuse Jerry for firing him.

Yeah because the Cowboys would never fire, err I mean let a coach leave after they won a Super Bowl or two...

Before you say it could never happen maybe you should do a Google search for a guy named Jimmy Johnson.

That's quite a stretch to think that quote represents him saying bump and run is a better overall defense than playing a majority of zone coverage. Particularly considering he's mostly played zone coverage at San Diego and here. I think he's saying it is better, but only if you have the absolute best to play it. Here, clearly man coverage isn't something you're going to have Anthony Henry play. And it's not something I'd feel comfortable having Adam Jones do at this point. Newman, sure, but he's still a bit hobbled.

Or he could have just been telling the reporter that asked the question what he wants to hear. Most people would prefer man coverage. It's more "sexy" than zone. So it could just be the generic, give 'em what they want to hear, response. Certainly actions speak louder than words, and he's always seemed to play more zone coverage.

such spin

he was asked what he prefers, he said man-coverage, so the only other option is zone coverage

thus, he prefers man-coverage and gave his reasons as to why, it's more successful limiting the percentage of passes completed

although Daboys is wrong about man causing more turnovers, you get more INTs playing in a zone, because you make the QB throw into coverage, or at least attempt to

You can't be serious. This is by far the dumbest thing you've ever posted.

Let's get to the real answer to this question: People decide in advance that they don't like Wade for whatever reason -- that he's fat, that he speaks with a country accent, that he doesn't cuss out and berate the players, that he said we were 13-3, whatever -- and then look for evidence, no matter how flimsy, to support their opinion.

I guarantee you that if RJ were the head coach and he were 2-0 or 15-4 with an offense that had performed exactly like our defense has, almost nobody would be calling for his head. Certainly not in the numbers that have called for Wade's.

I loved the Wade hire when we made it, I'm just not exactly sure what he's really brought to this team

I don't have to prove squat to you. If you don't think our defense has been aggressive or imaginative under Wade you've proven how little you know about (or watch) the game.

Seriously, what a dumb thing to say. LOL

"IF" Wade wins a SB - he'll retire and bask in the limelight of being a true Texan - a Texas legend - he won't pay for meal for the rest of his life.
Say what you want, but Wade is adored by fans, media, players, critics - everyone - he wins a Bowl? - FORGET IT.
