Look, if it doesn't work, and there is a way that we know does work, I wouldn't worry about it. Jason isn't going to be frustratingly stubborn.

Romo didn't have this problem in the past, and based I wouldn't get excited over a few passes thrown in a couple practices.

The bottom line is that he throws very well to the left. In fact, he throws better to the left than to any other direction.

I don't think they want a situation where all he can do is throw to his left. If the staff sees things they feel they can help Romo improve on then I'm sure they will. BP also mentioned that Romo was not a finished product and still needed some work and evidently the current staff sees things they feel he can improve on.

Nothing wrong with wanting more. Right now we have a QB who hit over 65% of his passes and I think fine tuning his game will only lead to better overall play.
Exactly...there are things he can improve on. He is going to have to improve because he won't sneak up on anyone this year. I look forward to seeing the progress under Garrett.

No one is saying that Romo *is* a finished product. Of course he's not. Of course he's going to need improvements. There's always more room to improve. That can actually go without saying (though its been said numerous times in this thread alone).

Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer and he still has things he works on and tries to improve on and that is why he is the greatest because he is not going to settle on his game he will always look to improve. Granted Golf is not the same as football but it does not change the fact that great players work to improve and over come certain weakness they may have. In Romo case I don't think anyone is talking complete overhaul of his game just adjustments

About a month ago at dc.com I saw an article in which Tony mentioned he always works on mechanics, but this summer he is 'tweaking them' with the goal of making his release even faster. He said he was trying to balance quick release with strong arm and I remember he said there is always room for improvement release-wise, and always something your can do to improve on it.

What I took from his comments was that Garrett's system was really going to plumb the short pass and getting the ball out real fast will be paramount. I think Tony's mechanics are being "tweaked" to the system, is all.

A primer for dcfanatic's Saturday radio show.

I'll be doing a spot about Tony Romo's mechanics and why he may be having problems throwing to his left right now. Coach Bartel will also comment.

We're going to attempt to break down exactly what the glitch is and what he will need to do to correct it. I've tried explaining mechanics in the past on the forum and it has been met with mixed results. Hopefully I can help you visualize it on the air.

I would do it tonight but a co-worker is retiring and I will be at the party to say goodbye.

I love hearing your insights on QB mechanics, even tho I am one of that category of fans who thinks that they are becoming less and less 'analyzable' in light of the number of successful pro qbs who aren't conventional drop back passers (Romo included).

I will be looking forward to this talk, TH. :)

Just don't pull out any still photos. LMAO!!
