This is Wade Phillips, he told his players at half time time 30 minutes until they make they playoffs. . Wade seems to be perfectly content making it to the playoffs...

We're likely playing Philly in the first round, regardless of what happens next week. So next week is just to play for where that game is held. Honestly, we appear to be a better road team for whatever crazy reason, so I don't have strong feelings about next week.

Of course, being a season ticket holder, I'd love to have a home playoff game.

That's why I posted this...I heard that and cringed....the players already KNEW that was the case....why would he mention it....argh!

They already KNEW it was my point. I think it just goes to the thought that WP is just plain huncky-dory with "making" the playoffs......the entire organization needs to be focused on next week and not looking beyond them.

The first goal is always to make the post season, we accomplished that one.

Next win a division, might do that next week.

Third, a bye (unlikely).

Fourth, win a playoff game... etc

I see no problem with him mentioning we made the post season.

We said this two years ago. I think someone posted that the odds of beating a team three teams (if they meet in the playoffs) is actually quite high.

But I'd rather play the Eagles here than at Philly.

no, we lost to them in Philadelphia in 1992 and 1995 but won the two games in Dallas.

We didn't play them in the 1993 post season.

They already know half the things they tell them. That's neither here nor there.

It's just ridiculous to claim that him saying they have "30 minutes to the playoffs" means he's satisfied with just getting to the playoffs. I mean, that's really just silly.
