LOL. I know, I know. But, damn, so soon? LOL...

Yes, will be very, very LONG offseason. LOL

They are like a dog with a bone, they are not giving it up. Wade could help this team to the SB and still some would say well that is only 1 we expect more than that. :laugh2:

mmmmmmmmmm........no on Fisher. Overall he hasn't won when it really counted. I know if Dyson stretches the ball out one more yard and they beat the Rams it's a different story, but that's life. Just ask Marv Levy about that...same thing with his first super bowl and the kick that sailed wide right. Red will get his shot, but having to really earn it is a good thing IMO. JJ let Payton get away and there's no way he's going to make the same mistake with Red..........

Interesting. But who will Fisher's successor be in 2016 or 2017 if he doesn't get enough playoff wins? I think that's the real question.

Or should we focus more on the guy after that guy. Does Cowher have any kids who are coaches?

If Wade puts a defense on the field next season like the one at the end of this season, then we will be talking about who Garrett's sucessor is and not whose Wade's is!

Wade is a much better DC than Garrett is an OC so I think this discussion is pretty moot unless Jerry thinks there is a better DC out there than Wade - and I don't think he is going to find one!

As long as Red gets his shot elsewhere. Not in Dallas, I am good with that. Well, I don't know. Maybe if Red got that HC gig and then realized this team was all his? Hmmm..

Naw, still aint down with it. But, that could change. LOL

And Payton was and has been light years above Red in every way when it comes to OC.

I'm not the biggest fan of Wade but here are a few random thoughts.

I think Jerry had a long term plan and stuck with it.I think he planned on giving Wade three years from the get go with the intent of evaluating where the team was as a whole at the end of that three years.I think the reason that Wade was retained for another year is that Jerry thinks that Wade gives him the best chance to win in 2010.I also think that Jerry figured that there was no rush to promote Garrett since he's under contract and will likely receive no offers from other teams. Now come this time next year I think Wade might well be gone if he doesn't get past the divisional round or suffers an embarrassing loss in the playoffs.I think another factor regarding Wade after next year will be how Garrett develops and also where the league is at regarding the CBA.
