That's not because the Seahawks sucked. That's just a credit to how great Murray and this line played that game. No reason to discredit the Cowboys for their performance. They dominated the Seahawks in Seattle. They are still the best defense in this league.

I'm just glad we shut them up because they way they are talking.....goodness. They just won't stop talking about the Eagirls.

The fact that they keep talking about the Eagles means that they were indeed scared of playing them. If they are pretenders, the Seahawks should brush them off and move on to next week.

I disagree. That did not look like a defense that had any concern whatsoever. This is simply gamesmanship in case they see them again in the playoffs. Or Seattle simply being who they are. But they were not scared. I think the Seahawks are still talking because it was billed as such a big game and they want everyone to know that Philly has no business being on the same field with them.

Fair enough. But Seattle's pedestrian offense is a bit of a joke. Sans some blunders by the Cowboys on special teams, they managed 3 points. That offense doesn't scare anyone.

Really, it's almost the mirror opposite of our team. Seattle does it by intimidating and dominating on defense, giving its offense short fields, where Wilson, Lynch and Co. can take full advantage. The Cowboys do it by intimidating and dominating on offense, giving its defense ample rest time. When the formula is working correctly, it can be a pretty impressive display. But yes, for both the Cowboys and Seattle, their weaker units become much more effective when they're able to build off of the work of the stronger units.

My buddy is an Eagles fan, and I asked him why McCoy has struggled this year, whether it's a lack of speed or O-line issues. And he said he's been scared of contact all season after getting smoked earlier in the season (pre-season maybe?). He no longer fights for yardage if he doesn't have to, he'll go down as soon as he's touched. Basically, force him to go up the middle, don't let him get to the edges and he should be neutralized.

I'm also of the opinion that his winning the rushing crown last year, and not being able to do it this year is playing inside his head. One of the toughest things for an athlete to admit is " I don't have it like I used to"

I agree with the poster. You don't brag about a win like that unless you were concerned going in. Like if you were playing the Jags would you talk like that? Of course not. They've been talking entirely too much. If the Eagirls see them again they'll have plenty of bulletin board material. Not saying that's a bad or good thing.
