Sometimes that first round is a wait fest.
When we are picking the middle or lower end of the draft.
Like last year, seemed to take forever for them to get to our picks.
You also see the war cam videos that last few years and see them on the phones trying to trade up only for it not to happen so you still have to wait.
This year going in one would normally think...Hey this first draft night I can see who the Cowboys pick in the first hour or so and not have to wait hours on end.
Well...Not so fast my friend.
Just because we are slated to pick at #4 overall does not mean we will...or maybe we do but our night is not through.
We could trade down and pick up some extra picks. Doing so means we have to wait a little longer for the Cowboys to make their pick. Even after that we can not be sure we are done for the night.
Maybe they use those extra picks to move back into the bottom of the first to get another player so we have stay up for the whole draft.
Of course we could make our selection at #4 overall and think the night is over.
Well with Jerry maybe he can't sit still and a player falls that he really likes and he uses this years picks or maybe this years and next years to move up and get someone.
Just never know.
I just know that just because we are slated to pick #4 overall and that would seem to be that for night one....just does not mean it will happen that way.
Going into it I am preparing for the full nights draft as I think Jerry may want to jump back into the first and that might be after we traded down in the first already or not.
