It can happen at any time, at that moment we can then further speculate that the Cowboys are going to use that money they created. This is the money that was set up to be used, if it's not going to be restructured for whatever reason, it's a big big mistake. The Cowboys like to take their time doing this it seems, hopefully they get ahead of the times and get ready to pounce on free agency.
With that said, I'm calling on all of you that are good with the cap numbers to give mock numbers on how we can fit said players under the cap we created.
For example, we restructure Dak's deal and create 37 million, we take that 37 million and how would we make it work for us
1) Resign Osa to a 22 Million Dollar Deal! His 1st year cap charge would be 7 million dollars, this leaving us with 30 million
2) We sign a free agent LB who will sign a contract 4 years 64 Million, his 1st year hit would be 8.5 million. leaving us with 21.5 million left, leaving us with 21 million to do other things, are these examples bad? This IS how some contracts work right? Please give your thoughts
