I would like to see Bullough(Joe Dirt) from Tampa get released and come to Dallas, he is an active tackling machine! Might need him if Irving/Durant is out longer than expected

However there won't be a line waitimg for 4 year veterans who are released. They are automatically free agents and can sign where they like.
Yes, right now they are not subject to waivers. After the trade dead-line they do become subject to waivers.

I wish they have a rotation system like if Cleveland selects the next in line will select first. Cleveland will then be the last in line.

They go in order as the draft was, worst team has the right to claim players first. But imdo not think that team can pick like 5 players, then the next team can pick 6. Maybe they pick one, the next team picks and so on. But I am not sure.

But yes as you mentioned, after say Cleveland pocks, then they wait until the other 32 teams pick before they select again.

But it's not lie they are waiting for a team to choose.
Say Tom Brady is released. Clevelamd , Dallas, and Atlanta all put claims on him. But he is awarded to Cleveland since they had worse record. But if Cleveland did not claim him, then he goes to Dallas since they picked before Attlanta since they were in the SB.

However, after a certain period of time, the claim of waived players does not come into play. Maybe after the trade deadline, not sure. Unless they changed that too.

I beleive the first team that claims them, gets them, the order is no longer in play of the worse team picks first.
But like I said, that may have changed

To me, it is just a toe dip to see if teams could cut that many that quick and still keep roster integrity. The end result would be eliminating the last preseason game which will eventually feature zero top talent, no different from a first game.

They dont want to eliminate any of thier money makers. Exhibition crap or not I think we are more likely to add games than take away.

.

Second, there will suddenly be about 1,100 players released at the same time, so it's a quick-stop shop for what ails you, and AT&T lines will be lit up like Christmas trees.
.

Your imagery is so twentieth century....
