Waletzko back?

The story I think is he might be able to play through it so they are going to give it a try and then decide if he should then get surgery.

Let's be clear here though. If Jerry and Stephen had done their jobs and not taken such a risky approach to backup OT, this kid likely would have been shelved for the year already.

It's downright mindnumbing that those two knuckleads are sitting there thinking, "yep, we are fine at OT........... got one 2nd year OT who gets mauled and a rookie OT with a bum shoulder..........."

But seemingly, that's exactly what they are thinking.

So he's a rookie who was struggling even before his shoulder injury, .
no training camp, ... no preseason game experience... ,,and a bum shoulder that they are gonna see if he can "play thru pain'' ..?

such a jones thing to do isnt it?

Why are so many people so impatient? Less than one week from now 800+ players will be released from the other 31 teams. Why would anyone in their right mind comb through the limited current options when much better ones may soon be available? No one associated with the team has stated they are happy with the backup OTs and they almost always make a move or two around final cutdowns. The same guys available now will still be available next week if no better options presents itself. Teams may be looking to trade someone or they may release a good player for cap reasons. With a little patience, we all may be very happy with what happens over the next week or so.

Those two knuckleheads can bring in a veteran tackle at any time because they have the 3rd most cap space in the entire league. They have options.

So nothing else can be done

Not one actual story form any of the power that be claiming this..this is a fan posting opinions.

lets let the FO and coaches get to cut downs and also the last 3-5 positions churning the other teams cut downs and making the final roster before all these wide swung opinions of what their intentions are..

they brought in Barr and Turpin late and believe a vet swing tackle might be next..

I don’t think he’s struggling lol. Most of the insiders watching practice as well as the live broadcast said he looked good in practice. He immediately stepped in above Josh Ball (I know that’s not saying much lol) and handled his team reps well.

Seems like he genuinely has the chance to be a swing this year and the ability to develop into more. The Cowboys missed on developmental T Josh Ball but seems like from yesterday’s practice reports they may have hit on Waletzko.

and they will,

i dont remember a finalized 2022 roster coming out??

you are responding to a FAN opinion. they are most likely waiting for cut downs next week., so many more options open up after next Tuesday.

Yes, the Cowboys are in good position to get the tackle that they need. They have the 3rd most cap space and like you said players will be cut and available for trade. It will be interesting to see what tackle they bring in. I think that they could actually cut Ball and put him on the practice squad.

Maybe they are just going by what the coaching staff and trainers are telling them about the situation. Therefore lack of action, which will come from Will McClay for suggestion as too players to bring in. I'm sure he has a watch list of possible released players.
