I think the Cowboys showed how to play Sherman, don't fear him, go right at him, hit him, punish him. Wonder if other teams will try it too. Of course need the guys to do it, which we have. I think other teams do to, they just needed to be shown how it can be done.
Hit the loud mouth bully, punch him in the mouth, he will back down. LOL

I give Sherman credit actually. He was getting punished all game long but he never backed down. He probably should have. I have a feeling Monday morning was a rough one for him. Ha!

I'm sure the ice chest was empty...LOL
I have no issue with Sherman actually. Wouldn't mind it a bit if he was on the Cowboys.

Y'all think Dick Sherman is getting hammered on due to the Madden cover jinx? :D

I know he's not injured, and he's not having a terrible year by any means, but he's not playing like he claims!

What, like the best corner in the game? Dunno, looks pretty good to me. I saw the other best corner in the game (Peterson) get absolutely torched by Desean Jackson.

Yeah, during the offseason, Peterman claimed to be the best CB in the league too. Too much talking going on. Just do your freakin job.

It's impossible to live up to the hype, created mostly by himself, after last season. He is an EXCELLENT CB in this era. But he is not Deion like the hype was building him up to be. He's still having a good season. But teams are studying him more. Finding chinks in the armor. Also the fact that they have lost some CBs since last season and injuries to players around him will take him out of his comfort zone and POSSIBLY expose some weaknesses.

Haha. No doubt man. Ya know, I'm a Big 12 guy, and when I watched Murray at OU, I was always impressed with his abilities, but I never noticed or really thought Murray was a punishing RB. Since breaking onto the scene with the Cowboys, he seems to relish lowering his helmet and shoulder pads and blowing up would-be tacklers.

Remember that Pete Carroll recruited him to come to USC as a Saftey.

Wow. I had no clue. That's crazy right there. I guess if I was a diehard Boomer Sooner, I would have known that little fact. That's pretty cool though.

Well, Pete just got a first hand look at Murray, the RB.

Will Murray be signed by Seattle in the offseason and become part of the legion of boom? On a serious note I expect Jerry to stay conservative and offer a big contract over 4 years maybe 24-28 mil compared to his 16 mil opening offer.

Michael Irvin could beat Deion. Everyone gets beat.

Yeah, I think you might be right. I would hate to lose our homegrown RB. I believe the initial contract was a gesture by the F.O. to let Murray know that the Cowboys will look to retain Murray's services, meaning they are willing to redo the contact and pay accordingly. It will be interesting.

On a side note, I want to see our Oklahoma State product get some more reps to determine his value, among other things.

I agree. The panty sniffer needs 6-8 carries a game.

I could not believe that we were able to steal Murray in the 3rd round. I was stunned. But watching him at OU, he was pretty much the OU offense. Just seemed more finesse in college. Extremely productive though.

Murray was more Percy Harvin than Adrian Peterson when he first started at OU.

I saw Chancellor bounce off Witten and if I'm not mistaken off of Escobar too.

I learn something new everyday. Cool. So he was more like a utility, jack-of-all-trades kinda guy. Now he's a franchise back.

Murray was a lot smaller and he was a heck of a receiver and returner early in his career. As he increased his mass, he started becoming more physical as a runner and blocker. But I also do not remember him being as physical as he is now with the Cowboys. IMO, Murray has toned it down some since his rookie year, he was a complete psycho then - don't ever recall him running out of bounds that first year instead he almost looked like he hunted D players on every carry.

He was splitting time most of his career at OU and still had the record for most TDs in OU history and held the points record till it was broken this year. Later in his career he became a more physical back. But he never showed the power and overall vision he's shown in the NFL. I do think the splitting carries in college has benefited his NFL career. But running back is a position where we will be happy if he has more than a couple more years. We got about 5 great years from Marion Barber before he ran out of gas. Looks like Murray is a better version of MBIII.

That's about how I remember Murray in college. His senior(maybe junior?) year he started his MMA training stuff and got stronger. He had far more red zone touches and as a result more TDs that year than any year before. But the offensive line for OU that year was not that good.
