Walking/running - Plantar fasciitis

So i been walking and some light running everyday for a few years now. Recently about two to three months ago i started experiencing a painful almost burning like feeling in the bottom of both feet in the heel area. I have torn both calf muscles in the past and still have pain there daily and am wondering if the pain i feel in both heels is connected to the torn calf muscles. I been icing both heels daily for a few weeks now and no improvement yet. It actually hurts more when i am sitting compared to walking. I'm guessing there is a possibility this issue is connected to the kind of sneakers i am currently using for walking/running. From the research iv'e done online it seems i got Plantar fasciitis.

Anyone else ever had this, did you get better, how long till it got better, etc etc?

I had this exact same thing happen to me earlier this year. Pain in both heals that actually hurt worse when I was sitting, and especially when I had them up. I eventually started getting pain in my lower leg as well and went to get new shoes. I have flat and wide feet, so I needed something with good support. I got a pair of Saucony shoes (A pair of Brooks was another option). It's gotten a lot better since then, but hasn't completely gone away.

I took the day off yesterday, didn't like doing so, felt strange. I just finished my miles today using the same sneakers, did a little more running then i normally do, and both feet feel fine atm. It's been on and off like this since the symptoms started. Tomorrow i will start using the Dr. Scholl's, hopefully that will help some.

Thank you all for the info you added.
