After yesterday's game, I kept thinking that all I care about is getting revenge against the 49ers. Now I don't care as much about that as much as about overcoming self-destruction and just finding a way to the SB. I remember feeling cheated during the 1995 season because of the 49ers getting knocked out of the playoffs by GB. But that's silly! Lots of teams have won the SB without necessarily being the best team that season. So now I'm in the camp of whatever it takes.

Great finish to a 17 game roller coaster of a season ends with our cowboys as NFC East champs and the #2 seed. The NFL once again reminds us that it takes an entire 17 games to decide playoff seeding. No team is crowned in October. Lots to savor about this season, but we all know what happens in the playoffs is where teams are really defined.

I really appreciated what Dak said after the win last night in the post game interviews, ”We’ve won the division before. Obviously it’s a huge accomplishment for the team, the organization, but I want something better.’’

Amen. We all want something better.

We have waited 28 years to win a divisional playoff game and with that #2 seed, this team is poised and capable to at least do that. This season will ultimately be defined by what happens the next few weeks.
  • Respect is earned in the playoffs, not the regular season. We have a chance to earn that.
  • Great teams are defined by playoff wins (PLURAL) We have a chance to do that.
  • For the first time in 3 decades, this team has made the playoffs 3 years in a row. They SHOULD win multiple playoff games.
No excuses. Don’t care who we play, where we play, who the refs are, or what breaks we get or don’t get. Just win! This team has enough to at the very least make the NFC championship game. Do at the very least THAT, and this season will be remembered as special.

We all want something better. Let’s go get it Cowboys!!!!
Truth.
The playoffs separate the men from the boys!

If Dak has a stinker of a game in one of the next three he should be gone.

My bar is higher than getting to NFC Champ then losing again to SF.

Sure it's better than anything in 27 years, but it would be the same old ending as the last 2 seasons. Just different because we kinda lucked into home field and favorable matchups as opposed to getting SF in the 1st or 2nd round.

Again, I'm here for the ride but you don't get the planets lined up very often like this. Gotta take full advantage including getting over the SF hump.

I expect the players want it just as much if not more. They put in the work, they deal with the injuries and the criticism.

I'm not really interested in getting to the NFCCG. I'm interested in winning the Superbowl.

Losing in the WC round, divisional, or NFCCG, is all pretty much the same result.

Simple...winning the Division was "A Goal" not "The Goal"...keep your eyes on the prize Boys and lets wreck the cheeseheads!
I noticed most of the veteran players like Dak, DLaw, Tyron Smith, etc were excited yesterday to win the division but they also seemed even more intent to make it clear they aren’t satisfied.

We are in position to finally kick down one of the doors which has haunted our franchise for nearly 3 decades.

We’ve came close to champ game appearance several times this era. This appears to be another opportunity.

That would fall into the Super or Bust category.

Right now our immediate goal is knocking one monkey off our back reaching Champ Game which has fueled the narratives for almost 3 decades.

No doubt reaching and even winning a Super Bowl would dismiss all of our demons. But this is a great first step . Something for this team to build on. And bring more respect to our QB and all involved.
