I hated this. Liked the first two, but found this to be awful. So many cliches. So much sap. It felt forced and insincere. The plot was pretty awful and poorly paced. Woody was wasted. The end conclusion was embarrassing. Definitely the most disappointing movie of the year for me. The first one I went to on Thursday night instead of waiting until at least Sat/Sun morning. It could have been at least an hour shorter too, the first half is just a bunch of nothing.

I stay away from most huge summer blockbusters for basic the same reason.

Watch Baby Driver. Going to see it tomorrow for the 2nd time.

I just got back from watching it...

Good... not great.

7.5 out of 10 (With "Godfather" and "Shawshank Redemption" occupying my top spots).

Some of the stuff was "eye-roll" worthy but overall a decent flick.

Wood Harrelson's character struck me as being very similar to Marlon Brando's character in "Apocalypse Now".

Planet is the best reboot going right now. Which is saying something considering how Hollywood has pretty much been rebooting everything as of late.

If humans can nuke humans, humans can nuke apes. Part of that 10% of humans that survived the Simian virus was the .001% of the human population that it takes to actually launch a nuke. "Why didn't humans nuke the apes?", is a legit question. The last human beings on earth will be the guys capable of launching nukes... true story. Did you learn nothing from the original series?

One was the original painting and those after are paint by numbers based off of the original.

But I did like this latest one fairly well.
