Agreed. Seattle has been playing some pretty anemic offenses/QBs the past couple of months. Granted they shut down the Eagles but the Seahawks offense is always going to allow other teams to stay in games unless they get a some turnovers returned for TDs or special teams TDs. I feel like their defense is no doubt very good but against a very good offense like ours they won't be able to hold us down long enough without them putting up points as well. This is what happened in the first game. They didn't really do much on offense against us and eventually our offense broke through on them. I feel if we are in a similar situation against them we would beat them again.

I think seattles offense was better early in the year - after they let percy harvin go the passing game left a lot to be desired. No one really stands out or scares teams. Wilson converting a lot of 3rd downs running if teams dont play contain - however that is something that Marinelli is pretty good at.

Hatcher never really got a mega-deal. After his rookie deal he only got a 3-year $6M deal. For that price we probably got a top 10 interior DL performance out of him representing one of the biggest bargains in the league over that stretch.

The Cowboys probably did the right thing not committing major money to him at his age even though he was coming off his best year with double digits in sacks at DT. Hatcher did the right thing taking the big deal to set up his family's financial security - he was in a very different situation than Ware in that regard who had already pocketed about $60M in career earnings.

I have to admit I secretly hope he gets cut and comes back to the Cowboys and Marinelli next year where he really was one of the better DTs in the league last year. I think he is still a good player but his heart just isn't in it in Washington and maybe doesn't fit their scheme as well.

One other important point when comparing Ware and Mincey is the number of pass attempts each has faced... Obviously to have a opportunity to sack the QB or have a pressure, the QB has to be in the process of attempting a pass.

Yeah all that stuff to Luke Willson they were pulling off against Ariz shouldn't happen to us or most of these teams. I can't believe Ariz. got burned by that but Arizona's defense was pressing because they knew they couldn't score. They had to do everything they could to stop Russell Wilson and didn't focus on Luke Willson. Lynch will be a problem but he didn't really bust out against us. I think he had a couple of big runs but again I don't see our defense letting that happen. I just feel confident against them even in their place. A lot of these teams that go there get so psyched out before they even play the game. The crowd, the rain(if it does rain), Sherman and the defense. It's like if Seattle senses that they know they have you beat. This team is not afraid of any team or playing on any field.

I like Crawford better than Hatcher. I miss Ware but he is better off in a 3-4 and between the divorce and his injuries I can understand why both sides decided to move on.

I think it worked out all the way around.

Ware got paid well and is on a good team
Hatcher finally got a nice payday -- much more than he would have (and he needed that big payday for long-term security)
Dallas got younger, cleared cap room, and moved on...and also made the playoffs

DeMarcus Ware is credited with 488 pass rush snaps while Jeremy Mincey has 403.

Mincey (10.0) has a higher Pass Rush Productivity score than Ware (8.8).

Ware also has Von Miller rushing from the other side most of the time while Mincey has minimal edge rush help and is being slightly overused in a starting role. Mincey will make for a nice role player next year is the starting ends get upgraded.

We didn't have a known replacement on hand, so this is the best we could've hoped for.

Jerry Jones has admitted to having remorse about the decision right now, but cutting ties with DeMarcus Ware was made in the interests of the team for both this year and the long term.

They felt he was breaking down physically and couldn't be counted on to play full seasons anymore.

Ware would've played more snaps here than he's getting in Denver and opposing offenses would still be focusing on him whereas they also have to contend with Von Miller on the Broncos.

Also Ware had Von Miller on the line with him who wreaks havoc. What does Mincey have? Yeah, I'm glad Ware is no longer stealing moneu from the Cowboys.
