I'm not bashing Ware. I just expected more and when I watch Merriman I'm jealous we aren't getting that from our pick. I hope Ware comes around but right now I would take Merriman if we could do it again.

I was the first one on the Ware bandwagon, although I wondered why everyone seem to know he was the best olb available and we didn't take him.

But now I'm sorta pissed because everyone's saying that Ware will become a beast. Well, Merriman ain't gonna get worse.

I'm still on the Ware wagon but I jumped in on this thread when people were saying Ware was better than Merriman. At this point, no doubt very early in their careers, I don't agree.

Don't hold your breath. As of right now, there is no comparison between Ware and Merriman. Merriman is making plays all over the field and Ware looks like the next Pittman, Ek, and Carver rolled into one. Fast of the edge then gets pushed out too easy.

We drafted this guy to get the QB on the ground, not to defend tight ends downfield. And don't give me those hurried numbers or pressured numbers. Give me sacks numbers. Let's face it he has been dissapointing since the first half of the season.

He has some moves but right now you cannot put him 1 on 1 with a lineman, you have to have him moved around on defense, much like Merriman, so that he has opportunities to find an opening in the line and get to the QB.

It is more coaching than it is talent on this defense, whole team really. Kinda what I meant when I said in a earlier post that this is a 12-4 team playing like 8-8 team. Got the talent, just used wrong. IMO

Marcus Washington should be there as a starter but oh well...Ware will get there with more reps, consistently, and when the staff realize how best to use him in the future. He is a monster in the making with an incredible upside.

If you and I can see that every week then I wonder how the staff doesn't see that. I am just getting tired of that LT pushing him to the left every week. When Parcells had LT didn't he line up all around?
