Ware: More Shots at Parcells

"We have seven guys out here and that tells you how much talent you have on the team and how many good players we have on this team," said Ware, who had 11.5 sacks this season. "It's not that the Dallas Cowboys don't have the players. You have to tell the players how to do it, and they need to be efficient in doing it."

Ware has been talking with San Diego's star linebacker, Shawne Merriman, this week. The two are often compared after coming out of the 2005 NFL Draft. Ware was selected one spot ahead of Merriman.

Ware will be coached next season by Wade Phillips, who helped Merriman become a dominating player while he was the Chargers' defensive coordinator. Merriman had 17 sacks in 12 games this season.

"He said, 'Man, I'm glad I didn't come to Dallas, I wouldn't have had Wade Phillips,'" Ware said of Merriman. "But it's weird, now Dallas has Wade Phillips."

I just don't see Ware as a "jab" guy. When I first read it, it sounded to me like he was talking about not executing or having players not understanding what they should be doing.
