DeMarcus Ware certainly deserves the honor. His career should continue to move forward and upward. Hopefully after he retires, honors should as these will benefit him more than similar ones given to Drew Pearson and Cliff Harris (for example).

Josh Cribbs over Devin Hester? Cribbs might have more TDs but Hester is probably the most dangerous returner in league history.

And no Ed Reed?????

The NFL announced today that 12 members of the All-Decade team will be in this year's Pro Bowl, and DeMarcus Ware is one of them.

You meant to say WAS not is one of the most dangerous returners in league history.

For those two glorious years.

Sure you put in Gates over Witten. He is the #1 pass catching TE weapon in the game. Witten is possibly second. But you put Gates in over Witten, but just Gates.

Witten is second and a much better blocker.

Witten > Gates

Ware got this well deserved. If Terrell Owens is not on it though, it is biased because he preformed well enough to deserve it.

It's probably gonna be Moss and Harrison, but Harrison doesnt deserve it IMO, cause he did next to nothing in the playoffs his entire career aside from one game.

Really? Gates over Witten? WTH?
Gates is a bigger "big play" threat than Witten. Witten is more consistent and is probably a better blocker. I think they also give Gates credit for being undrafted and being able to perform the way he does. In the end though I think Witten or Gonzalez is a better "all around" TE. I actually would say Witten embodies what a football player is better than both Gonzalez & Gates (prime example. lost helmet against the Eagles and still ran, plated jaw and only missed one game, plays with broken ribs), the guy is just an all out competitor and deserves it over Gates.

Like I said, Terrell Owens may have attitude problems but the guy had a hall of fame career and the majority of it came from 2000-current.

Agreed.

Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald.

Not even close when Moss and Owens were at their best.

Johnson is a top 10 WR all time, the other two I agree.

Absolutely love Ware but if you are going to name an "All-Decade" team, shouldn't you try to find guys who have played a little more than half of a decade?

I think All-Decade teams seem to gravitate towards recency. Same with All-Time teams or whatever. People tend to forget how good players of the past are because of the larger-than-life current group.

Ware was second among all linebackers in sacks for the decade, even though he played only five seasons. The only guy ahead of him is Joey Porter, who played all 10 seasons. Ware has averaged 12.9 sacks per season. No other linebacker even averaged 10 per season in the 2000s.
