Ware vs. Meriman, how about Lawson vs. Carpenter

No doubt, it's already been proven how big of a mistake drafting Ware over Merriman was. Meriman getting 3 sacks against Gallery (a franchise tackle). Ware didn't even get a single pass rush.:laugh2:

News: 49ers LB Manny Lawson, the team's No. 22 overall pick in the draft, had seven tackles in his first NFL game. Lawson, a defensive end in college, also showed his speed when he raced 20 yards down the field to defend a pass to Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald that fell incomplete.

Analysis: Lawson has the potential to be a Fantasy stud in IDP leagues. If he starts to string together a few good games, consider inserting him into your lineup on a regular basis.

That against Carpenter who didn't even suit up, yet start in his first NFL game.

Parcells looks like he's lost his touch on his old talent of picking the LT's,Carsons, Banks and McGinests.

SO we draft lawson, and he still gets puut on backup dty because of the emergence of ELlis, and Burnett, so he still doenst play, and carpenter is doing same things in San Fran.

It does not matter who draft people. San Fran was gonna use whoever the picked the same way, just like us. Get over the frekaing man love for these players. Cause last time i checked San Fran is 0-1 just like us. And they gave up more points.

To be honest with you I like Lawson better than Carpenter. I think it was a mistake drafting Carpenter, cause he didn't show us nothing but one play. Our undrafted free agent out did him. That's terrible.

The grass is always greener on the other side. The talk is about two players that are on teams the cowboys have beaten. Since we beat those teams and those players did little to prevent that then why complain because they are not here.

don't forget who was Merriman's agent... that had something to do with who we drafted last year too.

As for Merriman vs. Ware - i think their talent level is very, very similar. The difference is the scheme. Parcells/Zimmer are WAAAAAAAAAAY too conservative with these guys for my tastes... We really need to start turning some of this talent loose on people instead of "playing NOT to lose" or "playing conservative"... it's B.S. - we need to start SICKING the Dawgs of War on these offensive clowns. I really think our guys are afraid of "messing up" an assignment and having Tuna rip them on the sideline VS just being a football player and making plays...

as for the cute lil' Strawberry Blonde we picked up this year - the jury's still out and although i am not a fan of the pick, he could turn out to be a great player yet. Let's give it at least another year or two before we start labeling guys busts....

Also, can someone please tell Carpenter to cut his hair?... he's disturbing to look at and i hate having to look at him in photos on this board. he looks like a dang girl! - sorry, had to vent. :laugh2:

It doesn't matter who Merriman got his 3 sacks against. The entire Chargers front 7 was in the backfield on every play (that's only a little bit of an exaggeration). The Raiders countered this by taking 7 step drops on every passing down.

Way too early to be making any final judgements about Ware, Merriman, Lawson, or Carpenter. I thought the pick was a bit of a reach, but what do I know. Carpenter could end up showing something, or he could be a complete bust. No way to tell yet.

Roseanne is closer to a hot chick than Gallery is to a franchise tackle.

Demarcus Ware would've been taking Gallery (and the RB's) to school just like Merriman did. Oakland is pathetic... and comparing Ware's first game this season to Merriman's first game this year is just silly.

Oh, and Cobra... as soon as you get that invention up and going... just name your price and put me first on the list... or at least second, behind Rack.
