At the beginning of the year it was said that not only Parsons surpass Ware as a better player, but was up there with the Legendary LT, Lawerence Taylor.

The reason being is that Ware "nEvEr ShOwEd Up In ThE pLaYoFfS". So, let's compare Ware's first 4 (and only) playoff games in Dallas to Parsons' first 4 playoff games.

Ware vs Parsons
  • Combined Tackles = 9 vs 18
  • Solo Tackles = 7 vs 8
  • Assisted Tackles = 2 vs 10
  • Tackles for Loss (non-Sacks) = 4 vs 3
  • Sacks = 4 vs 1
  • QB Hits = 6 vs 4
  • Forced Fumbles = 1 vs 0
  • Interceptions = 0 vs 0
  • Passes Defensed = 0 vs 3
  • Record = 1-3 vs 1-3
So while I think most have already realized Parsons, despite his gifts, is no where in LT's league, regular season or post season ...

I wonder how much "better" is he than Ware when a Parsons-lead defense gave up 6 TDs in an Opponent's first 7 drives.

The worst playoff game a Ware-lead defense had was when they gave up 4 offensive TDs to the Vikings in 2010 (2009 season) and lost 34-3. And in that game, the Cowboys offense had as many points as they did turnovers (3).

So if you believe that Ware was a post-season choke artist in Dallas, I've got to wonder what you think about Parsons post-season performances so far?

Pretending that a single defensive end can make up for the incompetence of 10 other players on the field is dumb.

Micah and Ware didn't necessarily play their best football in the playoffs, but the team surrounding them definitely has something to do with that.

I think we all saw that as soon as Ware got out of Dallas, he became a playoff stud. Here in Denver he is a folk hero of their 2010s Superbowl teams. This organization just does not build great defenses.

This whole "choke artist" labeling game is so stupid, especially with defensive linemen.

Ware won a superbowl and made huge plays during that run. There is no comparison right now.
The last series for NE vs Denver in the AFCCG Ware terrorized Brady. One of the most critical big time series of plays I have ever seen by a player

and THIS was after the Boys had written Ware off as not deserving of his salary.

Dware was past his prime, no doubt of that. But he sucked it up when it really mattered on that series on that day and that is what to me defines greatness

Ware had a bunch of garbage time stats and was elite in run defense. Parsons has ended a few games already in his young career, there were plenty of opportunities for Ware to do the same and he never did. Only time I remember him actually ending a game was against the undefeated Saints, strip sacking Brees. Then as time went on he was pretty much Tyron Smith with injuries.

IMO they are completely different players and comparing them is moot.

Just shows who really watches the boys and who just reads forums; prime example right here

LT mainly rushed the QB. He barely played snaps anywhere but DE. He didn't have LBer responsibilities. He was a freak of nature at that specific position.

The LT - Parsons comparisons were silly from the start. They continue to get sillier.

I've not missed a game since 2004. He also had those boneheaded offsides penalties against the Giants in 2007 in the playoffs that cost us the game.

Now I KNOW you did not really watch them; because they showed replays that Dware was not guilty; like all too many times his first step was so fast the officials refused to believe he was not
Like I said you never really watched

I don't disagree with you at all.

Yet all I have seen when it comes to Ware since Parsons started to show his passrushing ability ...
  • Ware was a stat padder
  • Ware never showed up in a big moment
  • Ware never lead the Cowboys to playoff success
I have no doubt that if Parsons left Dallas, he would show something he never was able to show in Big D, just like Ware did.

Yet I can't help but point out to those that labeled Ware a "choke artist" in attempting to prop up Parsons ... yo, Parsons hasn't done anything in "big moments" for you to talk crap about one of the best passrushers in NFL history.

If you think Parsons > Ware ... Cool. But you don't have to be disrespectful to Ware in the process.

So, the Cowboys playoff failures are on Micah’s shoulders now?

You should go into one of the Dak threads and make the argument “how can Dak be expected to win with a boat anchor like Micah running the entire defense?”

Yep. Good chance Parsons has to go elsewhere to get a real shot at a ring just like Dware did

This last game you can spread the blame out pretty wide to just about every player and coach
BUT IN THE END the real blame is Jerry for what he has built which is a flimsy facade that falls down when there is a high wind

While true, LT mostly rushed the passer, he was WAY More of a LB than you give him credit for. Or was all 9 of his career INTs just at the LOS?

Does this forum crap on Ware? I thought he was really respected and loved around here. Is there a poster or two you are taking issue with? Seems a pretty broad brush being used here.
