would do what it take sto try top get Christian Bale to come back as Batman just to have some semblance of continuity with something that was successful.
No way Christian Bale does a JL film nor will he ever play Batman again. They are rebooting Batman on film, thus there will be a new continuity and new Batman. Bale's run as Batman ends with RISES as it should.
I'm not a fan of a JL film quite frankly. I'd rather see WB establish solo series of their characters over a team up film.
Truth be told, there are all sorts of issues when it comes to team-up films and the way Marvel put together TA. For one, it's hard to get a quality filmmaker on board if he/she has to adhere to what is going on in other films and a future team-up flick. While I enjoyed all of the lead up movies -- esp. IM and CA, there's not a "great" film in the lot -- TA included. Hell, they treat their directors as a "rent a filmmaker," thus it's hard to get a, say, Chris Nolan to come on board to helm one of these movies. I doubt Joss Whedon directs TA2. He's already said the thing he didn't like about directing TA was that he was "making someone else's film." Yeah, he wrote the script, but he had to basically finish the story that was started in all the lead ups.
A good filmmaker would want a blank canvas and be able to do what he wants without having to worry about "continuity."
