Warren Sapp arrested for solicitation and assault

Not good, if true.

None of this"suspended with pay, pending an investigation" stuff. He was flat out fired. I vues even NFL Network has less patience for assaulting women.

You know. Not that I like Warren Sapp, cause I don't. But it's a shame some ones life will get ruined for doing something so petty.

I agree prostitution shouldn't be illegal but the assault stuff is troubling. One thing I don't understand is guys with some fame that can't get free....play.

Agreed. Assault is assault and Sapp deserved his firing.

If he assaulted a lady, fine. If it's for sleeping with a woman and paying her for it as she wanted, that's utterly ridiculous to be fired over. It's sex between two consenting adults. Wow. Such a horrible thing.

Is it? How do we know she isn't forced to be a prostitute? That wouldn't make her a consenting adult. We would need more information, which we may never get for this case.

if the stores ive heard on Warren Sap are true (and it looks like they are) than KARMA finally caught up to the big lug.

I have no problem with legalized prostitution but the assault charge is another thing. What I don't understand is it looks like the entire scene was from an argument over money. The guy has money, more than most of us. I mean, in that situation, just pay them and let them get out without a scene. Instead he argues over some money and now has been arrested and fired. What an idiot.

Hey Warren, go to a nightclub and flash some money and have your cronies brag to the ladies about being in the Hall of Fame. You could have the pick of the litter!

So, this is his 3rd accusation of violence towards women, that we know of.

You can't fix stupid.......................

Good riddance. Won't have to see his face on TV again.

If Ray Lewis can still be on TV then Sapp will return minus some solid witnesses and actual physical signs . Probably was set up as he comes off as a Cowboys fan at times :):)

Wow. What happened to innocent until proven guilty.

Don't support any true domestic V, but this whole issue/topic has entered political correctness land.

NFL network is owned by the NFL, be a little hypocritical to take a wait and see with an employee of TV side but not with players.

Thanks forgot about who owns NFL network as to me they are ESPN like in many regards. Still question their firing him, unless they have strong evidence, or an admission from him.

Then again there may be something in his contract that gives them an automatic out regarding conduct.

Keep in mind that this was the third time that Sapp was accused of assaulting women. Also, he admitted to soliciting the prostitutes, so he's not contesting that he broke the law. In addition, when you consider that he outed Jeremy Shockey as the leak for Bountygate coming to light on NFL Network air, and Shockey threatened to sue, and I'm sure that Sapp had used up any slack that he had as an employee.

I don't think he was a particularly astute, informative or even entertaining analyst, but NFL Network didn't agree with that assessment.

Thanks for that update. Funny what you don't know, as I rarely tune in to NFL Network , except after a Cowboys W to see if they will acknowledge it at all.
