I think that's exactly what happened and boy did Patrick come thru or what? I feel sorry for Roy. I know everybody hates him, but he seems like a good guy who really wants to be a big part of Cowboys lore. This is his dream "job" and it has turned into a nightmare. If he's benched, I'm all for whatever helps the Cowboys win. But on a human level, I feel for Roy Williams.

In the two games against the Eagles, Crayton has been a serious X-factor. Crayton has caught a total of six receptions for 173 yards and one touchdown.

Other than Witten and Austin, Crayton has become Mr. Dependable as well, and the Eagles appear to have no answer for him.

On another note, I do not feel bad for Roy. He is simply not a reliable option for Romo. I do not think this is Romo's fault.

I love Ogletree but that pass deep, Miles would've caught it.

Crayton > Williams right now, Ogletree > Williams aswell but Crayton > Ogletree.

What about Hurd? Man, I'd like to see that guy get a chance (although I think he blew his shot when he dropped the slant pass last week).

It's a shame we can't count on Martellus to catch anything

I'm thrilled to see the coaches giving other players a shot and not banging their heads against unreliable walls

I still think that Crayton works best as the #3/slot WR.

IMO, this is no time to be experimenting w/ new formations/personel. Just go with what you've been doing. If guys happen to step in and make plays ok, but don't make any radical changes now.

Nah, with guys like RW and Crayton who have been here long enough, I do not believe you lose any momentum with regards to continuity making a change now. A coach needs to do what is best for the team and unless you want another spoiled player on the field, that coach needs to actually do that when needed.

RW will have his opportunities and he will be able to prove himself like any other WR has to do. Right now, our best two WRs are Crayton and Austin and they need to be on the field.

I don't. Instead of listening to Irvin he blew him off. He obviously doesn't care to put in the work to improve.

Nice post. My sentiments exactly about Roy Williams. He just seems lost out there. :(

Just because he makes a lot of money doesn't mean he can't be benched or even better, cut.

Cutting him would just be plain dumb..

Crayton made his big plays from the slot...not as a starting wideout.

Roy has put himself in this spot. Only he can start making plays and get himself out. I was glad to see some of his snaps going to Crayton and Olgetree.

If he were from anywhere but UT he would have been run out of town already and that's the truth.

The college he attended is a factor in keeping RW? How so?

I have heard a lot of crazy things regarding RW but that has to be one of the more odd ones. I can picture Wade and Jerry in a meeting. "What should we do about Williams?" "I don't know but we have to keep him because he is a UT player."

I guess that's how it work in the NFL. I learn something new every day.

Crayton has been a much better player for us than hes usually given credit for. People talk about some players saying "Crayton could do better than that" as if hes chopped liver and when he has started he gets bashed.

But all the hate he often receives aside, Crayton has been a very reliable receiver for us most of the time and plays at a pretty high level. If not for Ratliff he would be by far the best 7th rounder on the team and he outperforms a lot of 1st/2nd round WRs.

Ogletree does have some pretty impressive measurables though and I hope he really develops more over the next couple of years. If the mental aspect is there he could be very good.
