he had it pinned between his arm and his abdomen, then it moved too much when he hit the ground though it didn't come loose. If he had his hand on it instead of his forearm he may have had a case

Honestly, I think it was. He had it in his arms as he went down. It doesn’t need to be in the hands. Had that been a Pats player, they would’ve ruled it a catch.

We never truly saw the ball hit the ground, but there's no way it would have bounced back up into Coop's arms if it hadn't.
