Was it a Fumble? The Actual Rule

OK. Now show video of Edmunds being taken out of bounds by parsons. Or. The hold on Dlaw that allowed the first TD for Zona. Or even better still. The delay of game. It was more than one play. I'm not saying conspiracy at all as calls are missed league wide. The officiating is horrible and something needs to change. The jets got hosed yesterday too. It's a joke

For what?

To prove that officiating across the league is piss-poor? That's a given.

No you’re not correct. You’re just kind of sad and pathetic and you reach out with attacks and insults against people who see the world differently than you do.

BS...I did not attack or insult anyone...you and that tech guy started the insults on me.
You are a waste of my time. You are the sad and pathetic one.

This is always my response to the "play better" crowd. The refs can screw you at any time.. no matter how good you are playing. We all know that they COULD call holding on every play.. but you ever notice how they almost never call it on a 2 yard run up the middle? Just a 20 yarder? How often do they flag us for holding on an incomplete pass? But have Dak zip one 15-20 yards down the field for a first down? Out come the flags.. AJ Green got a death grip on Diggs during the Edmunds run inside of 3 minutes where Parsons knocked him out of bounds. The ref #80 stood there the whole time not 10 feet away and just watched Green hold Diggs.. No call.. Then when Edmunds hand was the first thing that came down out of bounds he ruled somehow that the knee which came down a split second later was in .. and kept the clock running.. Or the no-call on Tank who was about to sack Murray in the end zone in the first quarter.. There were a DOZEN of these calls that screwed the Cowboys yesterday.. The Cowboys are good enough to overcome these calls against bad teams.. but they can't do it against good teams..
So true. Flags only seem to come out on plays that matter. I guess it's the mantra "let the calls go unless it affects the play". But a lot of time, those calls on the long plays don't even have anything to do with the outcome of the play, so I can't even say that is the reason.

It clearly shows the ball moving before his head hits the turf.
Looks like ball is loose before his head hit the ground
But I don’t see a conspiracy in every bad call
I do think all critical calls on turn overs or possible turn overs should be reviewed
But in the end the play should have never happened since the play clock ran out before the snap

I did not say there was a conspiracy.
But for some reason, from my post, it seems like a lot of people are saying something I did not post.

I am not sure if that is what you are saying. But are are 2 other goofballs on here saying it.

A lot of guys who "have been watching football for 50 years" don't know the rules, and get mad at things that are actually the right calls. It's hilarious.
That is true
But in this case it sure looks like ball is loose before head touches

Interesting thing about this ruling is that there have been many instances where the refs wait until a the ball is recovered to whistle the play dead and then make a ruling. This guy was quick to jump in and blow the play dead. I’m curious if the previous play was to that side I’m having cloudy recollection on that.

I think people were going by the knee... and from what I saw the knee was close but did not touch before the ball was lose.

Granted that would probably be virtually impossible to see live.

I didn’t mean you did
I was actually agreeing with you
The ball looked out to me
The play clock ran out before the snap
I didn’t mean to insinuate you but into the conspiracy of the refs and I sure don’t
I do think calls about turn overs or possible turn overs should be reviewed because they are so important
And they can quickly and easily take a quick look and only stop play if it requires a closer look
They do it many times now on plays, I just think this is one they should have looked at

That’s what they should do
Let the play go because it’s easy to quickly review a change of possession and it doesn’t require even slowing down the game
I’ve seen dozens of obvious players down they’ve let play out because then it gets automatically reviewed

Dak threw a pick on the pass to Amari that got knocked up in the air. It wasn’t a PI. The defender didn’t turn Amari hip in anyway whatsoever.

They bailed Dak out the very next play on another bogus PI call, on not only an uncatcheable ball Dak threw into the turf, but allowable hand play by the defender.

Our first TD was gifted to us by the refs to end the half. If the refs give the Cardinals the ball at that point, it’s a chance for them to go up three scores, PLUS the ball back to start the second half.

There is no doubt the ball was loose before the head touch. You can’t argue otherwise

the defender didn’t turn him? Lolololo. Go away

So was it a bad call or were the refs conspiring once again?
You can't fault the refs for not calling that a fumble. In real time, based on the position of the runners bent legs at time of Lawrence contact it is natural to think his knees were down. But they weren't. It was clearly a fumble. It did not cost them the game however. They were beaten all game long by the cards. They deserved to lose.

I think it was a fumble but I don't see the call getting overturned on those angles. To close to be incontrovertible through the eyes of an official.

No one has homer glasses on...but they do have hater glasses on.
You are proven wrong and bring out the homer crap because ...I AM CORRECT....

Bro, you literally have Cowboys lenses grafted into your face. You're a dyed in the wool homer if there is one on the forum.
