I was working and couldn't watch the game. Was it as bad as it sounded on the radio? Sounded like lots of penalties. I didn't recognize alot of names either. I know most are cuts but that was weird.....

ok...on the shower debate. I get that he is playing with scrubs ... but he is playing against scrubs too. And I was a supporter of his last year. He has nothing but a fastball, cant read defenses, misses the open guy and takes waaaay to long to decide to throw. He was staring at Andy Jones for 15 yards coming across the middle for a first down b4 he decided to throw it to him out of bounds.... and that was just the last of many decisions like that he has made all night. The boys really might be looking for a veteran because Showers has shown nothing to inspire confidence that he can be a competent backup at all.

It's week 4 of the preseason. It's always bad.

There were a few bright spots / players. The bubble guys, as to which ones fill those last few spots, as well, a few to grab the last spot on certain position groups.

I would keep Rod Smith over Dariis Jackson as a RB, and Keoth Smoth as the FB, or Rob Smoth does a dual pole, RB / FB, Jackson to thenPS, keep that extra position for a 3rd QB or 4th TE. Or even an extra DL, as McAdoo and Okoye didn't look too bad.

Watch the replay when it's on, decide for yourself, as it's the best way.

As much as I want to say "Hey, you can't read anything into preseason" I can't get past how pathetic our backups are. We've already had horrible luck with the injuries and if that continues this season will be crap.

We don't have a legitimate personnel department. We always lack talent and depth. We never honestly self scout and address it. So I don't know how that changes any time soon.

Yeah showers wasn't good. But we all already knew he wasn't nfl quality player. Defense looked decent to me other than some secondary play. The front seven reserves did some good stuff.

Yes yes yes. The 4th preseason game is such an indicator of the forthcoming season I want to puke. Those guys out there that I will never see again totally ruined my upcoming season. I totally want to jump off of something but the highest thing I can find is my curb.

Yea I was listening to the post game show and that's pretty close to what they said about Showers. They said the Cowboys didn't need to worry about anyone claiming him. That's too bad. I thought he could win the backup job but he'll be lucky to have a job here at all.....
