Well, actually, we didn't in three of the four games.

Our bottom of the depth chart is bad, but I blame the coaching.

Houston was throwing blitz after blitz against our offense. It obviously screwed us up. We consistently just rushed four and let their offense get comfortable. I understand you are trying to evaluate individuals rather than trying to outscheme the other team, but you have to give our guys a fighting chance.

Actually you don't. There is no advantage in the regular season to showing more blitzes in preseason, especially the 4th preseason game. Jason Garrett treats the preseason as glorified scrimmages, and I have no problem with it.

I guess what is disheartening for a lot of fans is that Houston's defense was full of guys that will be working at Home Depot next week and they totally dominated us in virtually every category, like time of possession, total yards, ect...

Yea, I get the score doesn't matter in the 4th preseason game, but you don't want to get totally dominated by a bunch of guys that will be flipping burgers next week or driving a forklift at Home Depot.

People say its preason so our scrubs our playing. But arent our scrubs playing against their scrubs. Our d line needs help. They ran right up the middle so many times. You build a defense strong up the middle. Dts, mlb, safeties b

People downplay it when we look good in preseason because teams aren't game planning, blah, blah, blah. But if we look bad in the preseason, all of a sudden these games are an indication of talent level and scouting ability. Most of these guys won't be playing anyway and, if we had played well, that would be the theme of this thread.

Didn't the Patriots lose tonight playing most of their starters the first half? Ya I don't take what happens in preseason as how it will go in the regular season. The same ones that say don't get to happy with Dak because it's preseason are the same ones saying the sky is falling because scrubs that won't make the team last to Rams, Seattle and Houston.

When most starters were in our defense held their own. I'm excited for the young guys we have and think our defense will be better then most think.......I like it better when nobody gives us a chance that's when we play Cowboys football

It was pretty bad. Offense and defense were both pretty lame with the backups being too inconsistent, although Anthony Brown acquitted himself very well on defense. Offensively, I think Darius Jackson might have won himself a spot on the final 53. Showers would be fortunate to get a spot on the practice squad, although being cut isn't out of the question either.

Yes yes yes. The 4th preseason game is such an indicator of the forthcoming season I want to puke. Those guys out there that I will never see again totally ruined my upcoming season. I totally want to jump off of something but the highest thing I can find is my curb.

Do those same ones even know they do that? I'm not sure. They seem very unaware or just like to be extremely negative no matter what. Again, I'm not sure which it is. I wish their internet would stop working. Forever.

We don't have a legitimate personnel department. We always lack talent and depth. We never honestly self scout and address it. So I don't know how that changes any time soon.

It's preseason, in two months I'd bet there will be no one quoting the outcome of this meaningless game.

JG wants to see guys showcase their abilities. Brown, King, and McAdoo all looked good, Olatoye struggled his way off the roster and Dax may have earned the #5.

Approximately 75% of the snaps played tonight are all by guys who won't be on a roster so I don't stress about it one bit.
