Just imo I think it was, this gave the lions a easy TD .
MM did this once in his first season here, and I thought that was stupid too.

There was plenty of game left, no need to gamble like that from your own 37 yd line.
Just punt and play defense.. there was 2 min 45 seconds left in the half it was 20-3 , their own 37, just crazy stupid to go for it.
No. Dallas had zero chance of stopping Detroit. The Lions scored the first 9 times they had the ball (minus the kneel at the end of the half).

Games like that require a Romo, who can score along with the other team and give you at least a fighting chance.

A stupid decission stays stupid regardless of the outcome. There are reasons for it to call it stupid. And those have nothing to do with the outcome of the play.
What constitutes a stupid decision?

I once saw a woman flying down 635, phone in one hand, cigarette in the other, with her left knee steering.

I thought that was stupid.
DUI is always stupid.

It’s a call that says my defense is getting trashed I need to keep the ball away from the Lions offense . It’s a desperation move just about forced on you .
Ya that hold no water, at the 20-3 time dak had already had to turn the ball over by interception and two punts. The defense allowed 14 pts and 2 field goals. Score probably should’ve been 24-3 at that time in part due to Dak. That defense that was playing like trash had been on the field twice as long as the offense at that point in the game and had just come off after 6:20 drive that stopped Detroit to a field goal. Everything is context and at that time our offense was playing 10x worse than the defense. They should’ve punted in my opinion as they are basically saying if offense doesn’t convert offense is putting another 7 on the board that shouldn’t be counted against defense. So now offense is responsible for 14 of those 27 points you see on the board(dak pick and this short field after a 6:20 drive).
