Was James Harrison really not penalized for either hit?

and we have people in this forum TRASHING our guys for putting up there index and pinky finger. The NFL flat out disgusts me today. We have turned on each other...turned our players...turned on our coaching staff...and the Steelers roam the field and commit what amounts to legalized crime with ZERO repercussions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why wouldnt you want a player like that? I bet WR heads are on a swivel when going across the middle of Pittsburgh's D. The middle of our D is usually wide open.
Do you honestly think if Harrison wore our uniform he would be allowed to play the same way?

I haven't seen a very good slow-mo shot of the hit on the WR. Sure didn't see taunting, although I only checked it once. I think he'll likely get fined for it because it was very rough.

It appeared to me that after the hit, Harrison tensed up in a threatening posture when he walked up to Massequoi.

Maybe he went to check on him to see if he were OK and he just naturally walks like that. But in light of his recent comment, I doubt it.

So he's just like every other player who makes a big hit or big play?

I dont get why "his" is bold. He said he doesn't want to put a player out of the game or jeopardize their career. If it was one of our players everyone one be crying about taking a players word out of context. I like him as a player, tote that line if the refs let you.
That's what irritates us. It's the blatant double standard. Why is he allowed to play like the 70's Steelers when we have to play 2010 flag football? Just because it is "Steelers Football"?

He would have been flagged instead of Harrison

I don't doubt that for one second.

I still wish he had kicked him in the nuts. Harrison needs his berries crushed beyond all hope of (re)production.

I am just livid...I really am...the NFL has all eyes on us....and this guy is on the verge of paralyzing someone and does not even draw a 15 yard flag. Witten gets horse collard (a rule that punt in place because of Dallas) and it does not get called. Romo gets smacked to the ground on a play whistled dead...and not one call. Has DeMarcus Ware, on pace to break the single seaosn sack record even drawn a holding penalty this year? People can say this is sour grapes..but the NFL has made watching my favorite team a chore! Like I said....whether we are guilty or not of these penalties is sometimes debatable. But what is NOT debatable is the fact that teams go ENTIRE games against us with 4 or 5 penalties...while we are in the double digits. Penalites occur on EVERY play...call them on both teams....or don't call them on both teams. But level the playing field and cut this bs out!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is NOT EVEN FOOTBALL.....I mean what is this???????!!!! I love physical aggressive football....but this is just street fighting. And if he had done that to someone from Baltimore...that is exactly what the NFL will have...an all out brawl. And I for one would have no sympathy for the NFL....because this guy is like a bully roaming the streets in a lawless society!

When was the last time we were flagged for a excessive hit? Our penalties are for PI, holding, and other stupid things. Ravens do the same thing, yea we might get the penalty but its because we have the stupid penalty rep. So the refs are on us a lot more than other teams and justifiably so.

Just perfectly stated. I've seen Romo get hit in the head numerous times throughout his career and don't recall any penalties against opponents for that. The best pass rusher in the NFL never being held is just SO ludicrous that I don't even know where to begin. The penalty thing, almost as much as crazy bounces and special teams disasters, has really ruined this season thus far. I truly feel like we play against our opponents and the refs. Unfortunately, the only ones we seem to be able to consistently beat are ourselves....:(

watching the game yesterday....my buddy turned to me and said...if we are going to get this many penalties...a few of them better be for us absolutely drilling Brett Favre like an oil well....even if is is late. The Saints beat him to canned tomatoes last year....with no flags. And it worked!!!!!
