Was Mike McCarthy holding Dak back to entertain his game plan?

Does is seem like, post 49ers, they just threw away the original game plan and just let Dak play? Early on, it looks like the plan was to run, "dink and dunk," control the TOP and let Defense dictate the outcome. It just appears they seemed to unleash Dak and just said "to hell with it". Thoughts?
No....the Defense was a Historic Pace!!

Everything was weird.

Cowboys have settled to their norm..We are what we are after Thanksgiving Game

We are playing bad teams. How can some folks not see this? When will Dak be “unleashed” on good teams in the playoffs?
Eagles? Granted a loss and not perfect at the end... he balled on them

Mike was holding the offense back. Not intentionally because he does believe in his own junk offense.

Correction: the Dallas Cowboys are 23-25 in games Dak has started against teams with winning records.

I mean if you are going to blame Dak for the losses, shouldn't the team that supposedly carries him to wins also be at fault for defeats?
and thus all wins are Dallas wins not Dak wins right?

They said they wanted all the ‘Dak is an int machine’ talk to stop, so it seems like it because that was the plan. Additionally, we could tell Dak didn’t have a complete handle on the new offense at first. He sure seems to have it now.

In fairness to Dak, he's never been a big interception guy until last year. Those are just facts.

I think we are back to the Kellen Moore offense.

Last week, I saw the team fake a screen one way, then throw the screen back another way. That was a KM staple play.
Nope - not running 7 yard curls 3 yards short of the sticks. THAT's KM's offense ..

I truly believe that if the FO doesn’t fire McCarthy to keep Quinn, they deserve to lose for years. Make Quinn the HC and bring in a Kellen-like OC

There are many things that happened since SF, yes we opened up the playbook some but it's not Garrett/Moore with long developing hooks, more posts and slants.
Brandin Cooks got involved, Cee-Dee has been next level, O-line has some continuity, Bland got us over Diggs.

Dak has been lights out.
