He's looking real good so far. 157 yards, but no TDs. I don't know if this is because of the Rutgers' red zone scheme, or what, but he needs to get the ball into the end zone.

I wouldn't be upset if it happened, but I really don't think we need Jake Long. I think we're set at tackle for awhile. Marten isn't much of anything but a run blocker but I like McQ's and Free's potential.


But, like I said, it wouldn't upset me. He'll probably be a top 3 pick though. With the way Joe Thomas is playing for the Browns this year, I think it's gonna help Long's draft status a bit.

IMHO Long will be "Long" gone by the Cleveland pick and that's OK with me, becasue there are still big questions whether he'll ever be a LT in the NFL, where as Sam Baker is a legit pass blocking NFL LT right now. He needs to get stronger to be a good run blocking LT but he will grow as he gets into an NFL program.

Rice is nice, but Brian Leonard is better.

Rice gets a lot of talking up, but I'm on the fence about his transistion to the NFL. He is from New Rochelle, NY (Rubbing shoulders with Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore and home town of my wife! :laugh2: )

This Brian Leonard kid (FB Rutgers) I like a lot though. He shows great athleticism, focus and the ability to break tackles and make people miss. (by jumping over them sometimes) He also has good speed for a FB.

The jumping over people could get him hurt in the end though.

Go ahead, fire off the hate. Mark it down, Brian Leonard is the better talent than Ray Rice.

What do you guys think of Mike Hart?

That guy does EVERYTHING well and is a bigtime leader. Michigan RB's dont do to well in the pros but neither did Penn State guys until LJ broke that wall down.

I like Ray Rice better myself though but would almost rather keep Julius than to use a #1 on any RB but D Mac.

The 60+ carries in 5 days with Ray Rice was crazy.
