May be more ready than you believe to shake this wuss cover D up. He was adament about being more aggressive and the Word Roy and LB came up right after that. And he finished it by saying he needed to det him in that situation more.
Its time to get our Big LB's Thornton, Shanle, Fowler on the field more. Our smurf LB's are not producing and are loking AARP............And time to get Roy closer to the line more - thats all.
I'll just say that I am tickled to death that you aren't the Defensive Coordinator. I haven't joined the GROZ movement, but I'd be one of the first to join GRON.
EVERY defense is designed to do something. EVERY scheme has different assignments where aggression is the design. EVERY scheme has strengths and flaws.
There is no scheme that is unbeatable or magical.
Truthfully there is no scheme that is even superior. What makes defense superior is when they have talented personnel who execute.
If the scheme made any difference at all despite personnel then every team in the NFL would run the same scheme. The reason they don't is because of their personnel.
That is just a fact and I'm sorry that it offends you.
The things you propose for this defense would have us so vulnerable that it simply isn't even logical. Lesser players on the field simply because of their size. People out of position. It is beyond ridiculous. That is why so many people jump on when you post this nonsense.
The free fall from best defense in 2003 to worst in the league would be so fast heads would spin.
Hey my best argument is Parcells himself. In 1997 he switched New England from a 3-4 to a 4-3 because he had better personnel for that scheme. He has said on more than one occasion that we are NOT switching schemes. He did NOT say he was moving Roy Williams to LB.
Just the facts ma'am.
