This is awful? Griffin finished 18-of-27 passing (66.7 percent) for 236 yards and a touchdown pass with no picks after taking over for Colt McCoy (neck) in Sunday's loss to the New York Giants. The quarterback ran for 46 yards on five carries but was also sacked seven times.

Jay Gruden yesterday: "We need to get a lead because we don't want (Griffin) having to throw from the pocket and reading defenses."

Such a ringing endorsement. LOL

I think Washington shows up for this game. D. Jackson would love to be the team that knocks the Eagles out of the playoffs.

If the skins can hang in this game early on and get pressure on Sanchez they just may pull off an upset and no doubt Jackson would love nothing more than to strut his stuff vs his old team.

Maybe haslett will unleash that kamikaze blitzkrieg and rattle young mark into a turnover battle with Robert . First one to five loses.

That is my hope as well but just as it was for Dallas the same will hold true for Washington and that is they have to stop McCoy. If he gets going the skins are done.

which brings us to the last game of the season. i'd much rather see Colt back there than RG3...

You know, I was thinking about that and came to the conclusion that RG playing against us and losing is the best scenario possible from a fan perspective. Given that we beat them with RG playing, their fan base will be pissing and moaning that McCoy beat Dallas but RG didn't
I am not sure whats up with Gruden but his comments toward RG3 last few weeks are really unprecedented by Head Coach. Just today he threw out another startling comment about RG3 to the effect that its important for Washington to get a lead so RG3 doesn't have to set up in pocket and read a defense. Those are humiliating comments and I just assume Gruden has one foot out door and other foot on banana peel. Regardless he needs to show little more class. I get that RG3 has been major disappointment but just let it play out and save the attacking comments.

To add to what you just said, according to a report I heard on a radio show, Gruden has been saying all this stuff without first consulting little danny. Initially, I would have bet that there was no way he was saying all this stuff without the blessing of the powers that be in DC. I guess he wants out of there pretty badly.

Looks like a given now that RG3 will start against us.
